[WOTLK doesn’t need RDF]
why would you decide for everyone?
Some people won’t need rdf & it won’t even matter to them But some others will need it.
Anyway wotlk doesn’t need tons of things that was added to it yet it got all of them.

I mean who is it hurting to add RDF to wotlk? Supposedly it’s gonna hurt the “server communities” something that I’ve yet to see my entire classic wow journey lol. Only server communities are GDKPers and boosters.
No. Nobody “needs” RDF, just like nobody needs it now or in Classic Era.
Nobody, “needs” Classic, and yet we all wanted it and here we are.
Hmm.
that’s a bold statement, you said it as if you have knowledge about every single player in the game and that can’t be true, you have no clue about player’s life inside the game, there are tons who need RDF and i’m 1 of them, Is it must? no it’s not but then why do i need it?
to be able to get into groups without being forced to face this issue’s in most 5man dungeons…
-people reserving items (every damn dungeon there are someone reserving his pre-bis
-people selling items (join and pay if XXX drops
-tanks/healers are taking all greens/ & unneeded blues.
-people doesn’t invite certain class at all.
-people ask for gold to join
-people who instant leave out of the blue & it’s hard to find replacement in mid of the dung. (happened to me couple of times & ofc i have screenshot for chat about those groups i had when a player suddenly leave without even saying a word)
-people go afk knowing that we will wait as it will be hard for us to replace them
-ninja items already happening on daily bases & Nothing to prevent it so lfd will add nothing.
so basically this is the life of random 5man pug, this is what i experienced all the time, & for that i believe that RDF is needed because it will solve some of those issue’s for me & i’m happy waiting 2hours in queue to find 1dungeon At least i’ll be doing something else while waiting…Unlike now where i spend 2hours reading chat and still not get into any group.
You’re right. We wanted a WoW without RDF, and here we are.
So yea, things can and do change. No reason to be angry that it didn’t change your way this time.
A week? Man you took your time with that one didnt you. I leveked a dk tank in wotlk because one of our our tanks left. I was raiding ICC in 4 days of having made him. I just spammed rdf on a weekend, had him 80 in just over 2 days and the other 2 days was him getting carried in ToC and naxx by my guild with good drops from the loot gods and some badge gear and he was ready.
Taking a week means you took your time on it in wotlk.
Lots of the people I had been playing with since day 1 vanilla started quitting the game and/or playing a lot less or vastly changing their approach to the game (raiding less, preferring 10 man content) so I went from an “everyday” hardcore raider in vanilla/tbc to more of a weekend warrior casual type early in Wrath. I started taking a lot more time away from the game and began more of a focus on pvp content.
So yeah, it took me a bit longer than a more dedicated player for that reason.
Thankfully Wrath was very accommodating to my new casual playstyle and decreased interest in the game.
Sounds like normal burnout after playing a game for several years.
Them removing RDF is just a way for blizzard to get more money, if you cannot see this, then you are a pawn.
Or Wrath wasnt as fun or interesting as Vanilla/TBC.
Probably some combination of both seeing how raids were handled in Wrath.
and there’s a “we” that wanted Classic WOW with the same designs it had the first time around so yes there is a reason to be angry more people played LK than played the other two so there is a good chance more people would want to come back to that version too. I liked original and BC ok the first time around but enjoyed LK much more (and going by just about every survey done everywhere I’ve seen most people enjoyed lk the most).
Yea from a purely practical standpoint, if I’m trying to change someone’s mind, e.g. trying to convince devs to add back in RDF/fence-sitters to add their voice to calling for RDF, insulting those people is definitely the wrong way to go about it.
If I’m trying to catch flies and I use honey instead of vinegar, it’s not because I think flies deserve to have something as sweet as honey, it’s because I’m trying to accomplish what I want.
The current Dev’s have already proven it takes the same “feedback” for 2 or 3 expansions before they even listen, an and someone their crap RSV to MSV change drove me out of retail. I have little respect for their design decisions anyway and would rather them leave well enough alone with the way the old game was designed.
People on the WoW forums aren’t exactly skilled rhetoricians, to say the least.
There’s a reason the devs have chosen to double down on LFD’s removal. Honestly, the pro-LFD side harms their own side more than anti-LFD ever could. So, they only have themselves to thank for LFD’s removal.
The devs in retail have a long history of doubling down on bad decisions because they have too much hubris to admit they made a mistake. I lost pretty much any faith in them with how badly flying was handled in WoD, “Don’t worry if removing flying proves to be massively unpopular we can reenable it on the drop of a dime”. Well turned out that was a lie and they couldn’t, they then also proceeded to passive aggressively time gate it for the next 3 expansions.
I was hoping that was just an upper leadership problem with retail and classic could break away from it but apparently that mentality has infested the classic side as well.
I mean, you should probably be angry at yourself because #somechanges was announced quite a long time ago. You had to always expect changes would happen.
Sounds like you had irrational expectations that didn’t match what you should have been prepared to expect.
no angry at people like you that keep encouraging the bad design decisions that leads to the bad games design and don’t know when to leave well enough alone. (I like many others only came back to LK and it hoped it would be classic LK not how can the current dev’s screw this up LK). and it’s not out yet so either it can bit fixed or I can unsub oh well either works but while subbed I’ll be here putting in for it to be like LK was.
Oh you sweet summer child. I hate to break it to you but LFD or not, Classic LK will not be anything like the original LK.
You can thank the classic community for that.
it just comes down to the level they mess it up, reading the forums and places the “Dev’s” *and I use that term loosely do post I’m losing hope fast
