I only post here for the perspective it provides and maybe to enlighten the odd lurker - other than that I dont care about nothin WoW related. Im not married to this franchise anymore.
I think itās more that he finds whispering someone āIāll goā or remember to pull his pants down before using the bathroom at the limits of his capabilities.

You think youre smart but if you knew me you would actually understand Im pro RDF. Thats how you know I actually dont care about this game because I want it in there.
For a real good time we could always revisit āthereās no way theyre doing Classic WoWā or ādual spec is coming to TBC because somechangesā.
Interestingly enough, Iām actually indifferent about its presence.
I have opinions on the merit of the feature, like, from a standpoint of design and its affect on WoW, which are the same opinions I had about it back when it first deployed.
All said and done though, itās basically just a change that Blizzard made that does not bother me because I never liked RDF in the first place and so it being gone doesnāt phase me. Iām just going to play WOTLK like I did the vast majority of the expansionās content without it. It will be more authentic of an experience, if anything, as a result.

No. I was not. I hadnāt said a single peep on it, because in reality I donāt really care all that much. I expected it to be there so thereās no hopes being dashed. Blizzard announcing itās removal was more of an interesting surprise that Iād like to see play out.
No for a real good time we can log into classic era and see how dead it is.

I maintain my original stance. RDF in the hands of a mature, caring and magnanimous player base has the potential to be a solid tool and supplement for grouping options. It can be a great way to meet new people and expand on the amount of people you can play the game with.
In the hands of players of an expansion aimed directly at the Walmart masses for pure profit who were already dependent on the games increased accessibility so they could stupidly engage in the WoW version of the stanford prison experiment while telling us of the wonders of xenophobia its probably not the best option.
That being said, I could care less. Blizz could shut the servers down tomorrow and I wouldnt blink an eye. I agree with the sentiment that some private servers did it better and its a shame we cant have nice things but in a very real sense you get what you deserve and seeing people lose their minds over this to go along with writing love letters for player boosting and every other convenience tells me this is nothing to be losing sleep over.
Anything not built to last will crumble in time and this player base is too soft to form any kind of real foundation. To me, Blizz screwed up twice here. Maybe there will be a day where they figure it out but I wont be around to see it.
Again, if you think the time I spend here is about lobbying for my personal pet peeves then you are simply mistaken. Ill engage in the controversy as it suits me but practically speaking Im not attached.

Well I always try to be about something and I would be lying if I said I didnt find a little amusement in the process but its not about that.
I dont care about being right I want to get it right. To me, there is an argument to be made for RDF - its just not the current model of insulting devs, insulting people with different opinions and carrying on like RDF is a really important addition.

Devās are the reason we are in this mess in the first place, they deserve any grief they get, if they would not have messed up retail so much for many of us and weād not need classic servers, and people wanting to play the old good design do not want their grubby mitts taking a dump all over our nostalgia, I want LK how LK was if a system was in a patch I want it in that patch.

Classic Era is doin fine my man - precisely because cant beat em join em types like you arent clogging the server.
They dont deserve any grief. Its their game and we are along for the ride. Its fair to criticize and second guess but thereās a way to do that and this ham pile never chooses correctly.
The devs would have a dialogue with us but we make that impossible so it just doesnt happen. Theyre not here trying to justify their decision to us directly on the forums. Can you guess why?
