WOTLK doesn't need RDF

They’re going to add it in anyway, you just watch.

“We listened, we’re the good guys!”

They do it all the time.

Because we’re talking about the problems that RDF solved. In order to gear up, you have to run dungeons. Blizzard added badges and then later changed which badges were awarded by those daily quests to encourage people who no longer needed the gear from dungeons to continue to do so. This is to make sure groups keep forming for dungeons so that people always have a reason to log in and play and to spread the love, so to speak.

They wouldn’t be ‘adding it in’. LFD is a part of Wrath. They simply wouldn’t be removing it.

I gave up on this game’s community after years of M+ crap. Unfortunately I have found the classic community only marginally better, and maybe more nitpicky and greedy.

Blizz made the LFD decision but they tend to make a lot of decisions that backfire spectacularly. Once players log in, level up, and start having to spend hours looking for groups for daily badges… they’re going to give up and quit. The same thing happened in retail, and TBC. Dozens of dead server/factions say that more people quit than stayed.

If you add a barrier to progression, not wanting to spam in your argument, people won’t stick around. This social paradise you speak of will not end up like you think it will.

I don’t remember the difference between TBC and WotLK and I wasn’t a wrath baby. It was, like 13 years ago and never very popular in either expansion.

Eh, semantics.

He’s making a non-argument. the LFG “tool” in wrath was used as much as the LFG “tool” is now. basically not at all. Its essentially unchanged from TBC

I was gonna say… I played all through Wrath and I don’t remember anything like this. All I remember is the unbridled joy when they added LFD.

Lot of use for it on Mankrik honestly.

No u. I’m not entirely sure what you’re on about, but your side is the one that keeps saying you have no difficulty forming dungeons. I have never wavered in my stance that forming groups analog-style is inefficient and adds nothing to the social fabric of the game. Moreover it allows bad actors undue influence over who gets gear.

Good for Mankrik, honestly.

I think the current tool is a huge impediment to progress. People are going to miss out on ground floor progression because some folks are bent on me making friends through LFG chat. I don’t need a friend to do Gundrak, I need a warm body.

legit good job Mankirk.

I play on Mankrik. It’s a very strange place where finding a group can be :moneybag: :moneybag: :moneybag: challenging. It’s primarily the reason I feel things are going to go belly up shortly after launch.

Would prefer an updated tool like the one from retail though, the current one lacks.

Now, I’m still pro-rdf, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get a use update to LFG too.

Yup, I see the boosters and gdkp people spamming it all day long.

Was really looking forward to that going away in Wrath, but alas Blizz decides to remove the system that would have allowed the casual masses to do dungeons without having to pay for it.

I can’t make other people do things, but I never charge for my tanking /shrug.

More avenues for easy group creation in game cannot be a bad thing.

Unfortunately the majority of people do. They usually sell it at 100g saying it’s ONLY 25 per person. And then they usually get it.

Those are the people having no LFD enables.

Removing LFD makes other people do things. And you evidently support that.
