Wotlk does not feel like vanilla

It’s not an adventure. Say what to you will about deadmines. Lbrs. Ubrs. Brm. They were an adventure before you are geared.

Nothing in wotlk feels anything like vanilla dungeons or an adventure where you may wipe and have to pull carefully

Obv it dosent feel like van it’s not van it’s wrath.

It was made for a diff time wrath was quite a bit after van and after they learned more about what they wanted.

Because WotLK isn’t Vanilla maybe?

yea we know it never was, but it doesn’t matter blizzard listened to the vocal minority and ruined it anyway

That’s because Wrath isn’t Classic WoW. It’s a retail progression server.

Wotlk heroics are meant for 3 players, if you take any more you’re only gimping your loot distribution. Definition of epic gameplay.

thats because its the start of retail and a monkey in a coma with 2 fingers can clear content.

Good, having to pull slow and careful for hours to get through one dungeon is boring. Having to adapt and respond to complicated mechanics while still maintaining an effective rotation to beat enrage timers is way more fun and engaging than “oh I got hit too hard so I’m dead”

Yes things that take thinking, coordination, and skill are boring. Your class choice is certainly is not ironic.

“Complicated mechanics”… “wrath of the lich king”… these two things dont go together.

Complicated =/= Hard. Flame Leviathan isn’t a hard fight but it is complicated

Fair i guess. Pve in general has always been a snoozefest though, if you want a real challenge that requires you to learn and adapt, then pvp has always been the only real option.

classic andies kicking and screaming every time basic QoL is introduced into the game

Chronobooms were an example of a QoL fix, Wrath content is for people who have pudding for brains haha. “just AOE everything down”

That’s where I have to disagree. In PvE there is always room for improvement, you can always pump out a little more damage or clip such and such mechanic just a little shorter to optimize as much as you can

PvP, when it’s not about who just plain has the better gear, is just Rock Paper Scissors, only sometimes Gun shows up with the newest Legendary or overbuff from Blizzard. It’s easy to say “you can never account for individual player skill” but that only matters so much when they’re all running the same exact build with the same exact burst or lockdown strategy

Spoken like someone who hasnt been high enough rating to even see skilled players. Anyone who thinks any PVE content is more difficult than high rated arena hasnt been high rated in arena. Not trying to be mean, just stating facts.

Edited for dave

imagine using “probably” and “facts” when trying to make an irrefutable point.

I mean, you’re right in the gear department, I’ve personally always advocated for normalized arenas (and not the stupid legion version where you still scaled with your gear, but they just gave you templated stats), because i think gear discrepancy in competitive pvp is just stupid. I do also hate that comp plays such a big role, but the only solution to that is iterative, frequent balance patching.

Pve on the other hand, is like doing time trials in mario kart. Sure you can eek out a bit better time each lap, but it’s nowhere near as engaging as playing against others

I recently went to STK for a expensive steak dinner. You know what, it didn’t reminded me of Denny’s grand slam breakfast…

Again, I never said “difficult” to begin with. I said complicated
