Title says it all we need cross server play like retail, especially after your countless horrendous timings of releases. Like Ruby sanctum/ the next phase of wotlk is literally shorter than TOGC. Why not just drop it than? seems like you guys dont bother thinking thru releases like classic launch during tbc(why not during wrath ATLEAST or cata?) you know when the classic content is over? lol
You made your game unplayable after most of us spent years and a _____ load of money for this phase for nostalgic/Warcraft lore reasons. Raids fall apart after 2 hours of forming and even than every role is so essential for how hard this content is. YOu need an exact spec of so many classes. It simply just can’t be formed anymore and yes i have a guild to raid with. I dont pay multiple subs to barely play 1 character.
Im saying during Ruby sanctum wouldve been perfect. Butthey just rushed it and SOD another month so odds are same things going to happen people gonna zerg RS. clear it in less than 20 min than gnomergone out next week. Killed peak of classic. also what @yehmi said

What are realms and why do they exist?
Originally it was mostly a constraint on the technology to manage the total player base and distrubute the load. When there was a single active release in the original retail stream of releases the player base was much larger and only had that single active release.
There are 4 active releases of world of warcraft right now.
Why fragment your playerbase further within those releases? It probably isnt the biggest change to allow cross realm everything in wotlk. Rdf allows it, bgs allow it. I dont have a view behind the scenes but its probably not a difficult change.
Its that or have a single giga realm. There is no good reason to fragment the wotlk playerbase.
Retail is in one of the better places it has ever been as far as letting every single retail player do any activity with eachother regardless of realm or faction.
The faction bit may be a step to far in the spirit of classic releases. But realms arent really a thing from the perspective of lore. Its just external player groupings that have nothing to do with your ingame activities.
I literally said nothing about this. I just think that we’ll be fine until Cata comes around. The game isn’t as dead as the doomsayers make it out to be.
bump cause its so dead its dumb, cant find 10m groups 25 are hard to find. Spent 2-3 hours formingn 2 10 mans for people to leave after Whispering fang skull didnt drop. Like great i love tanking for your bis trinket but cant get to mine.
Meh I’m on two medium pop servers (one horde one alliance) and there’s always icc pugs going on.
I was a big advocate of LFD because of the lack of grouping, and its been such a mixed bag. I’d say for raiding it would likely cause more issues then resolve.
Maybe a better solution is consolidations of servers.
If you consolidate servers before an expansion what happens if the demand is greater than expected… GG for weeks. They just need to bring back the old LFG tool or atleast implement both where people can put a message with their GS/EXP. EZ Fix cross server bis, random forced group compositions hell naw.
