WOTLK BIS Leveling Strategy?

Alright so what are you guys doing for Wrath leveling? Any secret starts you willing to share?

For me, I am in a guild intending to push hard in Wrath on a very large server. My current plan is to dungeon grind with the same group the entire way. We will set aside the first three days to get to max level. planning on a 40-45 hour timeframe to get there. I believe this will be optimal due to my server size and likelihood that quests resources will be challenging to obtain. I also believe a well geared group with consumes and in a good comp will still be faster than questing.

I further plan on having the other 4 members and myself turn in the same 25 lvl-70 dailies right at launch. Going back at 80 to get tabards, grind appropriate rep, and farm the specific pieces I need for pre-bis.

I remember playing at TBC Launch, and after the first two or three quests, my friend and I did not see anyone else the entire night. They cranked layers up so high we cleared all of hellfire peninsula with zero competition and lots of opportunity to herb/mine.

The second day, we started seeing more and more people. So it might be more fun to just push down quests in the beginning before starting the dungeon grind.

Also consider with a dungeon grind, you will miss out on Grizzly Hills

Scott’s thoughts on it.

go see what people did for tbc world first 70.

it will be the same thing all over again with just a different expansion and zones. nothing new and no secret

Well for TBC I dungeon spellcleaved my way to 70 in a day and a half so this time I want to take it slow and level through quests. All me getting to 70 so quickly did is make me spend all my gold XD at least this time I can do it when all the prices can settle.

World first 80 will almost assuredly be an unholy dk that starts in dragon blight or Grizzly hills while everyone else is fighting over the same mobs in boring tundra or howling fijord…

It’ll be via a combination of aoe grinding and power questing

I already have a thread about it. Nothing I’ve prepared is really secret. I will be taking up rogue/warlock as well but there’s no secrets or racing tactics. I’ll just be questing and doing dungeons.

I did the dungeon spam strat, fell behind the curve, and then ended up questing anyway. And I was always broke because dungeon spam doesnt give much gold.

So this time I am going to quest, pvp and enjoy myself.

I will kill penguins at the east of borean tundra, hyperspawn ofcourse and 1000 exp each!
