If destro, then you have options such as destro/rdruid, destro/hpal, and maybe even destro/rsham for 2v2. In the 3v3 bracket, I think comps like ele/destro/hpal and frostmage/destro/healer work very nicely.
For aff, you can get a bit more diversity in 3s such as shadowplay (spriest/aff/healer), RLS (rogue/lock/rsham), L$D (aff/ele/rdruid), L$D2.0 (aff/boomkin/rsham), shadowcleave (uhdk/afflock/healer) and MLX (mage/lock/healer). For 2s, I think aff can do okay with a lot of healers since your role is to rot heavy.
Not sure about demo comps tbh. But I’m sure you can find viable 3s comps with casters.
Yeah I’m curious what comps demo had in general back in Wrath. I wasn’t really familiar with their arsenal and how they secured kills as I’ve only dabbled more with aff/destro.
viable partners, some are better than others, and some are way more skill dependent with some of these comps being far stronger at the top of the bracket while potentially struggling at the bottom and mid with how comp distribution works out like a disease.
in no order
EDIT: Some how i thought this waa regarding TBC, but much of this will still work. i modified it for Wrath.
Resto Shaman
Disc (hybrid offensive play)
Resto Druid (bear charge)
Rogue (sub)
Shadow Priest
Frost mage
Feral if he’s super solid
Holy paladin
Elemental Shaman (can work but he will need your coverage big time on CC)
What i enjoyed the most and did the best with was…
2s: Aff - Resto Sham, Destro- Disc Priest… but i’m sure multiple double dps comps work very well. Xmo/Uck (F mage/Destro) comes to mind.
3s: Destro/Ele/Druid or pally is the best comp IMO but WLD, RLS, RLD, RLP, shadowplay, MLP, MLD, HLP are all good too.
Meta is kind of a weird cd for that, its biggest weakness is the lock will be hard casting their nukes and with melee in your face its almost wasted every time. They are better off waiting for the enemy team to clump together and firing off immo aura and bladestorm with the stomp.
The sleeper team for locks is Affliction/Destro/Resto imo because you get lust and the affliction lock can help protect the immolate from being dispelled. It may not get you an uber ratings but it was pretty fun.
But i mean thats my point. I don’t see how the affliction would be able to effectively peel. Seems like that alone would really hurt the viability of the comp.
Dont get offended, i just thought it wouldn’t be fun to get run down or to be unable to help your partner. To each their own. Play whatever you want and have fun, bud.
No thats never fun I will agree but at the lower ranks it isn’t 100% of the time. There were many matches where we were able to gib some players with just a blood lust and my burst after a healer foolishly tried to dispel immolate with a UA on the target after that its just fear circus and they would quit most of the time.
