Adding as an after-thought to the magical girl thing. I feel like I 100% saved a friend from years of children’s therapy when they told me they had promised to watch ‘that new magical girl madoka anime’ with their 7 year old.

Never forget this show was marketed to children.
The trick to avoid childhood trauma is to curate your childs entertainment.
Take a few minutes to read a synopsis of the show you’re going to watch with them or a game you’re going to let them play.

If anyone here has kids I would unironically recommend Kemono Friends.

I can’t think of Evangelion anymore without laughing about a silly flash animation that would probably get me in trouble.
“You want me to pilot this giant robot i’v never seen before!”
“Yes”
“$#$$ YEAH!”
So that rat was terrifying. ._. I never got to play the original Parasite Eve but I did play 2 and …yeah. Those things all freaked me out.
The take away here is to keep food away from me after midnight.
Chihayafuru comes back in a couple of months and my hype is real
