Yeah I’ve only just begun playing FFXIV so I don’t have much of an impression of it yet, but I loved the character creation. Feels really good to have a character you’re happy with after dealing with WoW’s barely-tolerable models for so long.

Thus far that I’ve seen, the sprouts may be. Most of the mentors seem like either short term or long term 14 vets with stereotypically poor opinions.

Blame star wars and the weirdly bdsm Sith master apprentice dynamic that people weirdly pushed into roleplay

Same. I spent a good 30, 40 minutes in XIV’s character creator, which is longer than I’ve spent in some single-player RPG character creators.

ffxiv is funny because they removed butts from the player race models seemingly on accident and so no one except the upcoming viera will have butts

i just want to say i am bothered by character models where they go out of their way to give the females butts with tails, but if the dude has a tail, the tail takes up the entire area where the butt should be. bad. bad design.
