Just curious what people think is the worst lore character. Comics, books, the games. The only rule being they had to have been canon at some point, even if they no longer are.
Me’dan. There’s is no one worse, the writer was fired afterwards though I can’t say it was attributed to Me’dan.
Worst… Aggra. All she does is whine, make Thrall useless, and create the worst end-raid cutscene ever.
Oh God, I never actually saw a picture of him. He looks like a Dragonball Z character reject.
You have cursed me with this image, Rhielle!
Med’an was retconned because he was such a terrible character.
Yeah, he’s terrible. Watch Platinum wow’s “The Worst Character in Warcraft”
While I didn’t care for Med’an, I did like the look of the WoW comic from that era
Not counting Me’dan, I wasn’t a big fan of Rhastakhan. He was little more than a stereotypical tribal ruler whose entire character arc was painfully predictable from the very beginning. He literally plays into every trope and had nothing terribly interesting about him. Playing through the Horde story in BfA at that point was like watching your typical old horror movie and just knowing exactly what was coming up.
Medan isn’t canon, so my vote goes to Baine.
Baine.
lmao.
AU Grom. How to ruin a characters legacy.
“Draenor is freeeeeee!”
What a joke of an expansion.
Illidan
mostly because of the wild swings in characterization and motive he’s gone through. I know plenty of people like him though so it’s probably more of a me personally disliking him more than him being a bad character.
also as a second bad character/reason to dislike Illidan, Xera.
I hate Illidan too…but can’t deny he has an actual interesting story that has obvious passions and flaws. He is an edgelord fantasy and imo should have stayed dead but alas…
Actual in game story and not the most meme worthy character of all time, I…might have to throw my hat towards Thrall, Jaina, or Sylvanas. Sadly, these three characters have gone through so much bad writing, especially in the last few expansions, that I find it difficult to like any of them.
I like pre legion illidan
there’s just a huge disconnect between war of the ancients through TBC illidan and Legion illidan.
last we saw illidan he was going mad with paranoia trying to hide from the legion in TBC, but then in legion suddenly he’s brave enough to fight the space devil himself.
I really enjoyed Arthas’s Story arc
Uther’s was good up until the afterlives video for Bastion. I didn’t like him just semingly immediately, unquestioningly following Devos’s order to cast Arthas into the Maw. There should have been some hesitation, trepidation, doubt, reluctance… something
This.
Disagree, we need more Horde leaders that are as fed up with the faction war as we are. His “true to our nature” line was fantastic.
