Worst quests in the game are those inspired by Suramar’s “Are you kitten me?” quest. They’re the ones when you have to “scare” an npc into a certain direction until they reach a certain point. It’s made a comeback in DF.

For the current expansion:
You need to use a totem on the mob and wait until it reaches 5 stacks, but there’s so few mobs and people keep killing them. And then you have to explain how the quest works for everyone that gets there. It’s a pain

There was that Khadgar’s pet in Shattrath that was babbling on for 4 hours , I think, I don’t know, I failed that quest twice because I fell asleep. Then there was save critter in a burning forest quest, that took tortures 20 minutes.
Worst? Every fill-up a bar world quest and for what? 35 anima?

- Any quest with non-obvious silly mechanics that the obvious thing to do actually interferes with.

Ah, the days when escort quest meant that you were tasked with keeping someone out of harm’s way who had the body of a wad of Kleenex and the mind of Leeroy Jenkins.

Old quest, but killing plainstriders to get beaks. Apparently every 43 out of 50 have no beaks. 
Right now, any quest where I need to get something in the middle of packs of elite mobs on my Priest main.

Oh my god, I had forgotten about that!
At least we got to see the pod racers crashed in the mountain as scenery while doing so, but the rest of the scenery was pretty bland.

the ones purposely designed where you get 9/10 quest drops in 12 kills and 10/10 takes another 80. there was one in shadowmoon (i think) that was the most notorious for that.
and any quest that involves swimming that doesn’t give a speed boost or underwater breathing.

You’d think we could purchase Taivan some well needed training and get him to do it. It’s in his job description, not mine.
From the top of my head, and in my opinion:
Dragonflight’s worst:
The feathers have a low drop rate.
There are very few peacocks in Thaldraszus, and there are two that evade all of the time.
It takes forever to complete and the reward is meh.
From older expansions:
The netherwing quest where you have to fly on the slowest drake ever known to humanity, for 20ish minutes.
