The vendor gear from the DF pre-patch event wasn’t even that expensive. It just took time, and not a lot of it, and it was better than LFR and normal by a longshot. I’m…genuinely confused by their decisions.
I miss being able to turn into a ghoul and locking people inside the SW PvP room
Also we formed large raids to try and kill all the leaders while we were all Ghouls.

The WoD prepatch comes to mind. Everyone got the thing.
The “thing” was a pet that makes a real loud noise whenever it rolls nearby. Everyone had one, everyone had one out. And the event was all of 30 minutes of gameplay. For the whole prepatch event. Not per day, the one time.

Except you can only do it on one character every 90 mins. And it randomly drops gear not associated with class. So you’d have to no life it to make any catch up progress if you have more than 1 or 2 alts.
I logged it and posted it just to support the cause. This is probably the worst pre-expansion event yet. 
Please hot fix this.

Guess what, in a month it wont matter what drops in the event, you will replace it in a hour of game play in the new xpac. Great thing is, you wont even need the gear that drops even in the pre-patch, the junk you alts are wearing now will work in it as long as they meet level requirement.
I want the pet and mounts, which are things you can use forever but only obtain for a limited time
Time for them to take over the AI that coded this event and fix all the terrible scaling.

I thought the same thing. The DF pre-patch event was way more fun than this boring pre-patch. Also in DF pre-patch a ton of gear dropped from trash as well as the bosses.
This will only keep people busy for 5 minutes, because that’s how long it takes to complete 1 event and realize this whole pre-patch event is a giant waste of time.
You unironically get better/faster rewards doing LFR than this pre-patch event. It’s pitiful.

Because there is some vile former-accountant-turned-game-developer who has calculated precisely how much time it would take for a player to grind out the full currency required to purchase all the vendor items, determined that it was too fast for their liking, and used every ounce of their creativity to come up with time-gating as the answer.
This event sucks. Out loud. It sucks the will play this game right out of my heart. The last bastion of compassion and interest in my body. My brain checked out a while back but this hurt my soul.
Between this and MoP Remix I’m convinced they are creatively bankrupt.
Put everything on a vendor. Set the price to exorbitant, tune the currency drop rate to nickel and dime and sit back and watch the engagement numbers climb.
They are doing nothing but creating cynicism and contempt with their vacuous, low effort grinds and it has every chance of killing this expansion before it even officially launches.

Maximum timegated 480 gear, what a joke.
It’s 3 weeks to the expansion and they still gotta try and milk us. I was actually looking foward to some grind on the alt but I guess not.
Also why the fudge are the item upgradeable but slot upgrade discount on flightstone isn’t warband wide, do they really think we’re go back to the M/M+ grind to upgrade that shiddy pre expac gear ?
The real question is WHO MAKES THOSE DECISIONS ?

90 minute spawn timer and 1-2 drops per mob is so blatantly disrespectful of anybody with a job. What an insult. They built a lot of goodwill in Dragonflight, but it’s looking like all of that’s about to get absolutely flushed in TWW.
