Worst NPC job in wow

In the wandering of the various worlds of wow, some npc’s have really bad jobs. Not talking about being canon fodder for us.

The worst job a npc in the world of warcraft has is the mages that stand there 24/7 holding the portals open in the portal room.

Auctioneer… dealing with the stinky players in the small AH

Gryphon Handler by far. I’ve never in all my years seen a shovel anywhere close to the gryphon roosts. It makes me wonder what they use to muck the roosts.

I’m not sure about the lore but innkeepers are the best mages in wow, they are able to conjure a stone that last 15 years but they’re put into a small inn and all they can do is staring at the door waiting for a adventurer who doesn’t appreciate him/her just to be able to show off her superior arcane spell which no one really cares.

I assume the portal mages take breaks.

You assume wrong. I’ve watched them for like 16 hours straight once, never saw a shift change.

Gotta be the vendors I interact with; as I slap a few pounds of rancid bear meat on their counter and demand payment.

I don’t believe that. You had to have left, at least a few times, for relief. If nothing else, when you left they also were allowed to take a break. The point is, they will meet the needs of their customers. If you want to stare at portals all day, they will satisfy you. At the end of 16 hours, when you rest, they rest, and a different shift of mages takes their place.

It’s a toss up between NPCs in Darkshire who get killed non-stop and NPCs in Goldshire who have to see the worst things imaginable.

They didn’t know I was watching them

Quest Givers or Flight master on the Crossroads within a pvp server.

Even if they did 8 hour shifts, did u notice how their arms are outstretched and they are bent at a 45 degree angle? :weary:

The image of them holding open a portal was only meant for you to just very briefly see it. So, in reality, they wouldn’t actually be standing and working nonstop, only when someone needed a portal. You entering the room is when they would get up and fix you a portal.

We do have to assume some things here. Blizzard can’t make a visual for every single thing on Azeroth. Imagine how many things we already must assume! So, this is just another.

I’m thinking of all the farmland they’d need to sustain us.

Yes! Use your imagination, just a little. Meet Blizzard halfway.

That orc in the beginning part of Draenor who’s been shoveling out the latrine nonstop.

Class trainers.

Since Cata they have all pretty much have been laid off and just stand there.

From what I have read the world is really scaled down. One building in game represents like 10.
