Blues Brothers 2000, it’s the same thing. A terrible terrible movie, unbelievably bad, but it’s also a Who’s Who of R&B Legends. Ignore the movie itself but listen to the soundtrack.
Super Babies, just awful
The Mask, I veered away from Jim Carrey movies for the longest time because this brand of slapstick lunacy just wasn’t very amusing to me.
Imho the worst movies are:
Food Fight
Every Dingo Pictures movie
Pixels
The Emoji Movie
I’ve only walked out of a movie theater one time in my life. It was for Gamer. I thought the premise was so cool and instead I get gross close ups of some fat dude eating waffles. Among other stupid scenes.
And Detective Pikachu, the first Silent Hill.
And the live action Mario Bros. No I’m not joking. I legit love that movie.
I’ve walked out of Three movies in my life.
The first was Alien, the original one. Now don’t get me wrong, these days I love that movie, I watch it every chance I get, but I was 13 when it first hit theatres in 79 and when the alien popped out of John Hurt’s chest that was the scariest thing I’d seen then and I was out of there.
The second was Scary Movie 1, that one we took my 8 year old nieces to not knowing it was going to have some scenes inappropriate for 8 year old girls. Oops
The third was No Holds Barred starring Hulk Hogan, that I walked out of because it really was that bad, and I was a Hulk Hogan fan.
As for decent movies based on video games, the Resident Evils are good, I’ve heard decent things about the new Mortal Kombat, the Lara Croft movies were decent, so was Rampage (but of course that was because of Dwayne Johnson). There was also an older one from 84, Cloak & Dagger starring Henry Thomas and Dabney Coleman, it wasn’t strictly based on the old Atari game but it was close enough and it was good
That’s a pretty understandable reason to leave. I get that.
I mean that one was rated r. I can’t judge because my Mom took me to see South Park the Movie together. And I was like. 9. But we both liked South Park at the time. On nights I couldn’t sleep she’d let me hang out in her room to watch the show since it came on later at night. I had to promise her I wouldn’t quote the show or movie, lol. It’s an odd thing to bond over but it’s a nice memory.
