Worst Healer Spec to Level in?

So, out of all the healers in the game. Which one has the roughest time solo questing in a healer spec? I know dual talents is becoming a thing, but I’m just curious.

Probably holy pali/resto druid

resto druid and rest shaman are awful leveling/questing

holy priest can be ok

disc priest and holy paladin have an easy time leveling/questing

provided you dont have dual spec ofc

None struggle. As a holy Paladin, I kill stuff slower than dps classes, obviously, but its fine. I dont die and I can kill multiple mobs at once using consecrate and ret aura.

Resto Shaman or Resto Druid are worst, I’d say

when holy pretend you are prot
just pull like 4-8 mobs and kill them, it will take you the same time as 1v1 them

I was comparing the difference in my fresh 70 Holy Paladin in TBC live & PTR pre-patch last week (in exact same quest gear & her carryover 5 piece Vanilla Classic Judgement tier set from BWL) & the difference was night & day in speed & efficiency. After pre-patch you should be able to blow through solo/quest content pretty quick/easy & without mana issues as a Holy Paladin. They are finally a solid “Shockadin” side-dish in WotLK, while still being a Holy-spec healer at the same time.

Plus, considering that spellpower gear is now both healer & dps shared gear, leveling/questing/soloing with any healing class spec should be easier than ever if you want to go that route - which is great for Paladins, since they would need a different, 2nd gear set to play either Retribution or Protection.

Holy pally can shred leveling, not that I’d do it, but they can aoe level.

not sure why people think resto druid has a hard time solo leveling, just keep an agility set from quest rewards when you don’t get/need a caster piece from it, and run around in cat/bear form. you won’t be as effective as an actual Feral druid but you’ll still have little downtime and can even stealth around in cat form.

I leveled a resto druid to 57… Stuff dies sooooo slow. I went Feral due to a lack of tanks, and I only swapped back to resto to heal a couple dungeon runs then went back to Feral. Things just die quicker.

Resto druid is the worst imo.

After tomorrow dont holy pallies shred even more

Any. The answer is any healing spec.

Why would you do this?

In TBC it’s resto Druid. No question imo. No rez for dungeon grinding and the lowest off damage.

I actually leveled as a holy priest a long time ago and it wasn’t too bad. I think it was wrath tbh. Was planning on switching to shadow at 40 and never did.

But, as others suggested, it doesn’t make sense, unless you are in the mood to do something goofy. You can heal as off spec while leveling.

I leveled two and now making a third druid. I leveled up as Resto and it was pretty fast. I just spammed dungeons and never had time to get any quests done. When i got my Tauren druid to 70, i didn’t even get past the Hellfire questline. On my down timed, I leveled up professions.

I main healers and the biggest slog was hPal then probably rDruid.

hpal in wrath is far from a slog, hell hpal now is not a slog with the right gear.

It was just the endless auto attacking that slowed it down for me. All my other healers could blast down health relatively quickly. HPriest was the easiest due to high spell damage.

Round up a bunch of enemies, drop conc, profit. Hpal is one of the tankiest healers you can aoe farm like mad.
