Warriors and Paladin are my bane. Waiting for something to build up so I can use my weapons is agony. Still, I have fun playing them.

I don’t think any classes are hard to level up on retain
Mages can just kite the world to death
Priests can pull half a zone and kill it with dots
Rogues just go sub spec and kill the mobs before they can do anything over and over
Trying to level as BM monk is TERRIBLE.
You don’t get stagger until mid to late lvl 20s? You get trucked until then.
They need to rework BM monk as leveling so it’s actually…fun?
Rogue is harder, to me, in the early levels than either priest or mage. Mage is fine to level as frost – just takes a bit of practice. Rogue is much more involved, because it still has a lot of buttons to press to play effectively, even at fairly low levels, and you’re almost as squishy as a mage is anyway. Mage can be played with a few buttons all the way to cap.
The only class I really had trouble leveling was rogue, and that was a long time ago.
Now you can level any class to 50 in about 9 hours through only pet battles, and that’s after it was nerfed (used to be 3 hours I think).
All kidding aside you can get to 50 without using a single class ability if you really want to. I don’t really know if the leveling process in retail could be trivialized more than it is now. I guess that could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it and how you view older content.

All of this. Disc Priests are the tanks of the caster world, on par with warlocks. The play style isn’t as flashy as some, but they are tough as nails.

Nightmare in places like the maw and Nazjtar when the content is new and you don’t have flying.
For me a holy priest when you have world stuff to do. It’s a tiny bit better, but still not very pleasant. Instead of smite smite smite smite, you have a dot and mind blast and the other attack on a long cold down you can toss in there. Still boils down to smite smite smite smite.
Leveling in healer spec is usually a bad idea.
Tank specs are super easy usually, and DPS are a second choice.

Shaman for me. I love all 3 specs once leveled and geared but while leveling they are rough. I don’t get how I seem to take more damage in mail armor (with a shield as Ele) than cloth wearers. Enhancement & Elemental both just seem to really get hit hard by every enemy. Oddly enough though Resto Shaman is the 2nd easiest healer to level for me.
Rogues suck until you’re high enough level to get good energy sustenance . . . which is like level cap.
Always felt I was energy drained on my rogue at lower levels.
Rogues suck to level, followed by mage, warlock, monk.
The worst by far is rogue imo. Energy is a huge issue for leveling rogue.
Agreed I dont know what level it is after the squish but it was way to late pre squish.
