I guess that is bound to happen when you just make stuff up. I apologize for not being able to understand your unsupported claims.
But I’ll still gladly look at Square Enix’s player number report once you find it.

Always interesting seeing someone with lower intelligence trying act smug.
This nonsense again?
Take your shots everyone
Another shot? I’ve had too many already, I have about as much sense of balance right now as Blizzard’s class designers.
Insert drum rimshot for effect, lol.
As a player of both, WoW and FFXIV are entirely different games. Here is the basic difference between them.
WoW is an gear-centric MMO with RPG elements.
FFXIV is a character-centric solo game with MMO elements.
Different game, different player base.
I will say this, however. When reaching max level in wow, and getting whatever gear you want, there is little to do. In FFXIV, there is literally so much to do, that you may never see the end of it all.
Another difference is in the numbers. While WoW has more subscribers than FFXIV, FFXIV has more active players. So, it’s kind of a trade off. Ultimately, play which ever game you like best. But, if can, and have the time, play both and don’t worry about it.
I do tend to agree, though, that if anything kills WoW, it will be WoW itself.
Yup! This includes me.
I cannot believe people are STILL saying “RAAWWRRR ONLY ONE OR DIE!!!”
Yes. You’re so right. 3 posts compared to 170 is so identical.
Your only achiev is that you reached level 10?
FF14 vs WoW.
This is how I see them.
FF14 is Trivial. WoW is competitive.
If you are a serious gamer, wants some challenge, wants competitive environment then you would love WoW.
If you are soft, not serious, you could be okay witb FF14. You could also be okay with WoW too but if you are intimidated by some of their hardcore players, you might feel out of place. But you could always ignore those you want to ignore.
To be competitive with WoW, you dont need to be 24/7 with the game. Just learn your class/specs. Beating dungeons and raid are not that time consuming when you group with the right group. Modern WoW is very Casual friendly. Even if you have less play time, you would still enjoy competitive content.
Star Citizen will be a massive flop like every other game in the past 20 years that was in development for over a decade
If your game is taking over a decade to make, it’s because of serious issues in development that aren’t being resolved
Weird, I hit 300+ ilvl a while ago and still log in for hours every day and still won’t get everything done that I want to before Dragonflight starts.
(And none of what I’m doing every day involves getting more gear.)
Why do so many ff14 posts read like those infomercials where the actors are struggling with a horrible issue (wow) until the ff14inator tosses their salad for them!
Yep. No matter how much cultists from FF14 wish it to be so, that game will never kill WOW. The very fact that their director has a philosophy of “Well, that’s all our content so go play other games” guarantees that game will stay seasonal, which is the antithesis of MMO design. The entire point is to make it so players don’t WANT to leave. And yes, WOW has failed at this over the years. But that still doesn’t change the main goal of a MMO which is to keep them playing and keep them coming back.
Whatever it is, I’m not interested. But I do enjoy their fans giving WOW a monthly sub just to tell us how great FF14 is.
The only time I play WOW competitive is on raid night. The rest of the week is just chilling, listening to music and doing easy stuff.
Final Fantasy XIV is fun. When I dropped World of Warcraft shortly after 9.1, I tried it out and played all the way through 6.1. However, I hate when people want to pit the two games and their communities against one another; some players (like myself) enjoy both, others one or the other, and others still neither. The games are also pretty different and I think Jesse Cox hit the nail on the head when describing them, albeit brief and I am paraphrasing here:
“Final Fantasy XIV is an RPG that happens to be an MMO, while World of Warcraft is an MMO that sometimes has RPG elements. Basically, FF14 can remove the multiplayer aspect and still be a Final Fantasy game whereas World of Warcraft can remove the RPG aspects and still be an MMO game.”
This is the dumbest thread yet. You made a thread to make a “dig” at WoW players. Yet you can’t make the post without paying gold or money…
How about play whatever you want and stop being trollish about it.
Ugh, I forgot to backup my settings in FF14 and transfer everything over to my new computer. I lost all my settings and macros and this is going to take a while to set everything back up.
Hah! I literally just said the same thing! Imagine that.
Ummm, DF will fail. Mainly because it is focusing big time on grouped content ONLY!
Blizz is about to find out that their solo player base is far bigger than they, or the leets in this game, and on this forum think.
If i did not pay $5 for DF, because my Bnet balance has been like $48 since SL launched, i would never give them $50 plus tax for something that has nothing for me included. Professions that need grouped content drops is a total fail before DF even launches.
