Worried about the future of Classic

I share the guilt in the token part. I don’t buy gold; but, It’s a nice reprieve being able to RMT my own gold.

I needed the break from spending real cash.

Its that time of the expansion cycle it seems… it was dead after classic… dead after tbc… wotlk was the downfall… cata is when its all over…

Yeah… at some point certain people stopped liking the game in the past and that probably repeats… others come on as this expansion is suddenly their first go at the game and its there classic…

Just get over it. You may not like it. The people you all talk to might not like it. You got some youtube videos that provide an echo chamber, but at the end of the day thats a small world. If at some point the game actually died I doubt a decade of game would have been produced after it. I quit in WOD, would I want to grind WOD, probably not… but… screw it I got my classic and those that WOD is their “classic” then so be it.

and that’s all that matters. No one cares what people did 15 years ago my dude.

Thats why I quit Wrath Classic. They should actually just re release it as actual Wrath the way it was before.

You were talking about Wrath, not Wrath Classic. And if the goal of a Classic server is to experience the game as it was…”no one cares what people did 15 years ago” is a horrible mindset.

LFR took no time in Cata. It wasn’t the s-show that it is now in live. Cata LFR were basically loot pinatas except for spine and people failing the roll mechanic.

Can’t wait for CATA. Best expac ever gogogo

I still don’t see why the player’s can have the option to play the era they want. Make a couple servers for each era and done :man_shrugging:

Or how about give us an emerald dream xpack that never came out as classic

They rely on FORCED interactions and believe these devs even said that, at one point.

That is a fake community that bound to fail sooner or later.

This is not true. You can look up whatever and 3 sites will have different builds. Some sites have different builds all listed. Depending on what you want to do. Even the foundation talent tree has some differences. But yes, most of the specific talents are the same.

What keeps me calm is that the brainless people who want cata just for nostalgia are an annoying minority players exactly like you.

“Look, most people don’t want that crap but to hell with them, hate is just their sport. My subjective opinion that cata privates servers with no more than 3000 people is more valuable, of course.”

It gives me a headache

Classic by itself is a minority

I love people who use dead alts.
Go on reddit and find Cataclysm related threads. People do want Cataclysm.

and people who screamed for Era is less than 2% of Wrath pop.

Gamers are like women, I’m not interested in what they say but in what they do.

cata private servers are dead, no one plays them when they are free. Go and play to see what I say

I repeat it is free

On the other hand, any classic crap server can have more than 10,000 active players and some of them more than 30,000 like turtle wow

I have never disrespected someone who is not afraid to innovate, I love people like that but I hate people who, having historical data of a failure, want to repeat the same thing.

biggest cata pserver just released an announcement that it dinged over 30k players logged in at once.

Official servers have always had more players. Baseline. Every mega Wrath realm is larger than half of Wrath pservers combined.

Turtle WoW peaked at 22k only. Not 30. So let’s not blow up numbers here, 'key?

So if Turtle WoW and Era have somewhat same player count as Cata Pserver, it’s fair to say that the demand is there.

That’s a conversation you’re not ready to have because the answer is painful for you.

But let’s say you’re a few months away from being wrong.

But let me at least give you the reason for now.

You gave me an idea on how to solve this problem and Blizzard is going to love it.

Cata is like socialism as long as it is not the only option, everyone speaks wonderfully about it.

I would tolerate cata but those who play it will be charged an additional fee so that they do not take away classic+ resources and if classic+ fails, I will be the one to pay the additional fees so as not to take anything away from you.

Win/win

Maybe I’ll make a post in the future.

Should be the opposite.

When Classic+ comes out, those that want to play it need to pay extra. Separate fee. $30/month.
Because by developing BRAND NEW content, on par with RETAIL, you’re taking away from other teams.

So to make up for that, Classic+ needs to cost extra.

I like the idea of that better.

Vanilla+ is, really, TBC…and Wrath…and Cata…and WoD…and MoP…and Legion…and BFA…and Shadowlands…and Dragonflight…and 12.0…and 13.0…and …you get the idea. All these things have all the Classic+ features you can dream of.

And Cata is not the only option. Era is there for those that want it old game. It’s literally there and no one is taking it away from any of you. But yall are hell bent on taking something away from others.
