I have heard that there is an update to older buildings and things from vanilla. I am hoping that means that we can keep some of the older world without the changes brought by Cata. (I really want to keep the Gallowās End Tavernā¦) I would love to be able to fly in Azeroth without needing the Cata changes to make that happen. I am starting now to figure out which race-class combo to use first as well as which name. Maybe that way I wonāt take a week deciding when it drops! I also hope that we get the ability for Warriors to do damage with shields that we got for a short time in WoD. Questing that way was so much fun for me. Thatās kind of the only thing Iām looking for in Classic right now until Discovery drops!
No way bro, that would be way too much. Flying is what killed the world and world pvp.
You canāt say itās not classic plus because as of now we donāt know and honestly it doesnāt sound as if blizzard knows yet either. Simply put.
- itās a level 25 level cap to start and hit your first 10 man raid (never expected to see more than 10 man in a classic plus because it would be a small team.)
- whatās after that we simply donāt know. Probably another 20 levels and more 10 man overhaul . And other changes like new dungeons and advanced boss mechanics.
- probably level 60 with 10 man raids. Maybe 25 man cut to 10.
- probably some kind of Heroic class enhancement abilities but no more level growth, maybe see some of the tbc content dungeons moved into Azeroth in spots that blizzard originally intended. Nearly all of TBC was planned for new areaās opening on Azeroth. Minus Blades edge mountains and the zone with floating islands (nagrand?) why those zones have No dungeons and mostly just outdoor content.
Iām interested to see what they mean by warlock tank. If they mean tanking through a pet like a hunter Iām all for it. I hope the shaman finally gets its deserved and originally planned tanking spec. I hope that they remember the difficulty and that CC was once important to dungeons and raids. Hopefully eventually get some endgame 10 man runs. More than just Ubers and LBRS. Hopefully they remember what made Karazhan and the troll 10 man from tbc so much fun.
And keep going. That would be a classic + imo. With more to be added based on feedback. Which they said that they wanted.
In the demo they showed you enter metamorphosis permanently giving a bunch of armor and shadowbolt becomes a melee ability. The rest of the spells stayed pretty much the same.

It would have been much better if you just fixed what was wrong with some classes isntead of adding a bunch of extra abilities that are just going to break the game even further.
We have no idea how much the new abilities will or will not break the game. I would also figure that if anything is getting crazy theyāll have an easier time correcting it since they are time gating levels. So if a spec is preforming way to high it can be nerfed as they move the level cap.
I agree and thinking that thereās no PTR means itās basically like a beta taking feedback and such as to make changes but trying not to let them get out of control.

Do you guys think that role identities will be done away with? I mean, if anyone can tank, would there be any reason to have a warrior? Or if hunters can become melee characters, would they replace rogues?
These are just examples, but it almost sounds like class individuality will be obliterated.

First, I would say I have no idea how things will turn out, and it is entirely possible it can lead to a problem of the classes individuality being hurt but from what Iāve seen, the runes you can pick are more likely to just strengthen the classes as they are.
There are runes to change the classes more than what weāve seen before but they seem to interfere with other runes that increase dps. And considering the fact you can only choose three runes and they have to be on a specific piece of gear(enchanting) I donāt see people choosing to hinder there dps. Honestly the runes seem more in line with making most classes closer to their wrath selves.
I worry more that the classes will be op than they will be too different. So, I hope blizzard tunes everything sufficiently.
I mean, yeah no one played warriors once other classes could tank. Iām pretty sure Blizz removed them from the game. Same with rogues when there were more viable melee dps specs.
My god, Iāve seen more horrible takes in the past few days than 20 years on this forum. The classic playerbase really is something else.
next content band can you please keep everything secret Im already tired of seeing people theory craft based on something that is probably not ready yet and saying x class is too op y class is not strong enough. please just never announce anything again just patch it and see what happens if possible i know wow players just data mine everything so lame if theres any way to prevent this by baiting data mining with fake runes and gear or something than please look into that there will be no discovery left if not handled more carefully

it will be the biggest thing since TBC first expac mark my words once everyone seeās everything SoD brings to the missing content that we all know as classic for decades, very few will want to go back to the swiss cheese that classic is, many loose ends are being tied up with major potential
