I think whether this expansion is remembered as good or not will hinge upon this next patch and the finale. They need to up the ante and show why this saga has a villain who will be around for a while.
Its been broken since Legion because Battle for Azeroth was good 
They need to also nail the landing, for crap’s sake.
The reveal that Sylvanas was playing freaking Chutes and Ladders instead of 5D chess like they hyped for years just was the nail in the coffin for Shadowlands — and the damn coffin was already buried.

I feel like I should at some point I should go do the Dragonflight content if only for the mog opportunities. TWW was inoffensive enough that I should have washed out the bad taste of Shadowlands from my mouth.
I would definitely recommend buying the PvP sets of armor and weapons, some of them are absolutely baller stuff.

This was made with a bunch of stuff, but the chest and legs are the Shaman PvP set from Dragonflight, and the Wolf-Cowl mask comes from the Emerald Dream version of Bel’methadone, the shield is a Centaur transmog item, etc etc.
Graphically, Dragonflight stuff is really nice, and you’ve got a nice blend of down-to-earth looking stuff, full-blown elemental-themed nonsense, and dragon-themed monstrosities with enough chromatic tints to make Tiamat feel both randy and overshadowed.

Dragonflight introduced a lot of great transmog outside of dungeon/raid content, too. They really fleshed out the Dragon Isles and the recurring events or explorer secrets honestly make for a good game session even now, years later.
DF basically was a WoW dragon adventure story wrapped around a fundamental game redesign. TWW has continued the redesign direction and it’s been a good direction so far.
In a week or two when Undermine drops, we’ll see if they continue this positive trend.

I didn’t know about rot13 until like, my fourth year on twitter. We also did the dots and boxes for symbols, but that one got cracked easily.
I remember learning about ciphers when playing this game on steam called the black watchmen. It was all about like internet investigation stuff. Fun stuff.
God, unlocking the Al Bhed language was so satisfying.
I think that’s also why I can’t abandon my save file in No Man’s Sky. I worked hard for the near-complete lexicon of the alien languages!
