I’ve always wanted something like that. But seeing what Blizzard has let the franchise decline so much is pretty disappointing.

I could see it as open world player created economy type game like SWG or Eve.

Couldn’t see the current Blizzard actually making that type of game though.

Make zerg free to play, since they are the swarm faction and have low health it kinda makes sense.

Dungeon of Starcraft within the World of Warcraft? Sure.

I don’t know why Blizzard is so shy about cross-IP content. A robot tried to snap his fingers to remake reality, the lore is shot, might as well actually do something fun. Navigating through the Infinite Void and ending up on some Void-consumed planet that happens to have Fanatical Xel’naga Protoss loyalists or a Rogue Zerg Hivemind could be pretty cool. Dark Shadowy powers, giant twisted eyeballs and brain-melting psionics are already associated with the Void in WoW so it would be a good fit to bring Protoss and Zerg into WoW anyways.

That’s my take at least. Also, I think it would be pretty cool if Hunter’s could get Jim Raynor’s rifle and melee DPS could get Protoss energy blades so I kind of want that to happen.

I think that would go pretty well with a Light vs Void expansion IMO.

Never happen. They abandoned Starcraft for the most part. Starcraft just gets minor bug fix updates now. Might as well be abandoware.

Star wars does rock. Love the franchise. Over all tho, space stuff just isn’t my jam.

I would play the hell out of a Starcraft MMO. Would be a Protoss so damn quick.

But Draenei are already an ancient version of Protoss, so what difference does it make?

No, if it’s only a MMO I won’t even try it.
But if it’s a real-time, real scale, strategy, ARPG, open world, with optional FPS mode I’ll most likely spend all my free time on it for years and years

why do people think zerg would be unplayable? there are melee classes in WoW, and there are druids in wow with non-humanoid forms. hydralisks could even be a ranged class. their mounts would be some sort of dash/sprint/adrenaline-spell for movement speed, etc. Queens could be a badass healing class that uses their own health to heal. Zerg could have cities covered with Creep where they run super fast. it would be LIT

Would never happen but I would love to see them do an SWG / Eve like open world sandbox game with that IP.

I would love a good scifi mmo, and starcraft would make a fine setting.

But I’m doubtful that current bliz could make a decent new mmo from scratch.
