World Buffs Fix Needed with Layering ASAP

Just a wild guess, but I imagine the vast majority of players care about having short or no queues a lot more then having world buffs.

I am on a nice little realm, who is accused of being dead (because we dont have tons of parsers) but who is actually a very active happy little place.

We have no queues and No layers.
I could happily play and care not one thing about other people not being able to log in, or about buffs or anything else.

But i know people who could not log in
A good number of them work in health or emergency services where they have to go risk getting sick every day, and work overtime and if they have a little free time to play and forget stuff for a little bit, they can’t.

I’d rather they could play.
Doesnt matter if they are over on a different realm, bnet lets me talk to them and even have voice chat with them across realms.

As for the world buffs, to be honest, every time i have gotten that cursed Ony buff, i have died for some stupid reason and gotten no use out of it.
Once i went to UBRS and lagged, and when i unlagged i was drowning in lava and died.

So in general if i see a head drop coming, i get the bloody hell out of Stormwind, call it superstitious I’m fine with that.

The buffs are a luxury, our gear and talents etc more than allow us to play with out them, as a resto druid, none of them actually do a hell of a lot for me personally, i dont bother getting them at all.
There is enough between group buffs, and consumables i make myself and rep food i carry to steam roll anything.

But i cant cast a buff that lets you log in

Here’s a better solution - cut the min max bs and actually play the game without buffs.

World buffs were never this big of a thing; it was a nice to have and not a necessity.

Yes it is. Hence imho why layering is the best option until they do what I think they will for TBC.

Good. All of this e-peen swinging has no place in Classic. The focus should be on clearing the content and having fun, not chasing numbers on some 3rd party website that don’t mean anything anyway.

I enjoy the mini-game of parsing. It’s a mini-game. It’s meaningless, but it’s fun for me. What do you care?

Good players always manage to top the charts, with or without world buffs.

You couldn’t be more wrong. With world buffs I regularly parse in the 97’s and above. I die randomly and lose those buffs? Low 90s is the best I can get if I’m lucky. It’s simply impossible to compete at the higher levels without world buffs if your competitors have them.

I get it. You don’t care about buffs. That’s fine. Play the game the way you like to play it, and I’ll play the game the way I like to play it.

I’m not judging you, but you seem to be judging the parsers. So who’s the real elitist here?

World buff culture is dead for now - thank the gods. I am just happy to not have to devote half my entire day to trying to stay logged in for a raid.

Buffs are not necessary. I understand you want it to parse (I get it).

A couple weeks aren’t gonna kill you.
