I don’t think I’ve seen anyone mention this, but the fact that nightmare incursions take place at world boss portals means that we likely won’t be seeing world bosses in phase 4. I think it’s sort of a mistake to omit them from SoD, because they were one of the few things in classic that encouraged players to go out in the world and cooperate.

Better yet drop them right in front of the portals and remove the guards so they can’t be used to kill them.
World bosses were stupid, and even dumber with layering. I won’t miss them but maybe they’ll put different ones in. Who knows

Classic world bosses sucked. Sweatiest guilds on the server would have them locked down all the time, if you were lucky enough to join in one of those raids you either didnt get a tag or were lucky to be in the sweaty’s raid. They are exclusive, only way I’d be personally be down is if its a faction tag and personal loot like the nightmare amalg. Sure world bosses can create pvp situations but why not just make a pvp event.

We had a faction wide coalition on Grobb. I got Empyrean Demolisher and was not in a top guild.

Layering makes proper world bosses an impossibility in this inferior vanilla implementation anyway. I’d honestly rather them be completely missing than to be utterly cheapened.
So because their experience was different than yours on their server, that means THEY suck? What a bizarre accusation.

You could just put all raids into layer 1.
But yeah if bosses are up in layers that’s going to be get super sweaty or stupid.
So glad you got into a group where you could participate. I mean I didn’t consider myself a bad pve player considering my parses, but that is besides the point. Didn’t have the same access to those guilds that you did.
Not every server seemed to have that, and I wouldn’t be surprised if your ‘faction-wide’ collab was actually still exclusive and did not let certain guilds/players participate.
Wasn’t saying you’re bad because you like a system that is bad. But you do suck at talking to people

MoP has lots of world bosses. After we get done playing Cata we should play some Pandaria World Bosses.
It is just a chain of hype for cata folks
nightmare dragons were still fun. Yeah sometimes hard to get a spawn because of some of the sweaty guilds that had them on lockdown, but they weren’t absolutely required for progression. They should still be implemented in SoD.

They said they have “Not yet arrive” on the announcement, which is very vague on what the hell that means for their future. When I first heard of it I assume they were just gonna delete incs lol. But doubt that.
They were exclusive and you are a clown if you suggest otherwise. I didn’t say only top guilds were capable, I said top guilds locked them down. There is a big difference.

The issue was never how skilled a guild was, but the numbers they had or how sweaty they were willing to get.
Grobb had a lot of petty people who were more concerned with video game politics than actual gaming. You see a lot of it on RP servers.
A “coalition” on Grobb is heavily sus.

Nothing was stopping you from forming your own guild of like minded people who wanted world bosses and doing the world bosses. You gatekept yourself and you just don’t realize it.

It’s fine they will put all 4 into a new 20 man raid like onyxia just a giant room for each dragon.
Other than guild tags, cross-faction alliances or players with horde alts waiting to wipe guilds or groups not part of the community sharing them. I mean I witnessed this on Skeram, got to participate a couple times but it was a bunch of bureaucratical nonsense.

I played classic too friend…my take is 100% accurate, just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it isn’t true. Entire guilds were born literally because of these world bosses and same faction wars happened. No one is locked out from these bosses that wants to put in the effort to form a large enough raid to participate.
