they were already made trivial with the increased drop rate plus they are exceedingly expensive. There is zero harm in keeping them on the vendors, that is exactly what the content was for.
My wife has a horseshoe wedged neatly in her posterior. lol. When the mounts that could be collected from the reins of the quantum courser mount tokens were revealed she only needed 2, the gear glider from tazavesh and the necrotic wake mount, and she got both. To be fair she busts her butt collecting mounts and pets. Has a small army of alts and is very devoted.
Guilty
Iāve never been trolled so much before. I flat out had to blacklist that server from runs.
Iād get invited to like heroic sylvanas. Full rag group. Weād get 1 pull in, then theyād ninja pull and remove from group trying to kill me.
Or brick keys. Iāve never had so many runs bricked before
Yea no seriously. Tbh I found all my people from leveling alts in lfg dungeons.
Would hit it off, add each other, then start doing max content. Next thing I know, Iām in 10-15 discords and get messaged about open spots
SL was a massive hit to the player base that cared. But I agree, DF was a big step in the right direction with a lot of things.
I also feel like the difficulty this xpac wasnāt as bad as previous.
Like raz could be nasty depending on the group, but fyrakk and sark felt pretty tame.
But bosses like the Jailer. Pre nerf, he was NASTY. Sylvanas too was pretty difficult. Like trying to make the timer on her bridge was a feat.
I mean yeah, sure, I just get annoyed when achievements are devalued, just because they have been made more accessible down the road. and I find it ironic in a sad way that the same person who is complaining about things being trivialized is disrespectful - is the one who is being disrespectful to the people who did something before it was ātrivializedā if that makes sense?
IMO both things can be true at the same time - giving more people acess to beef up their collections is a good thing, and achievement of the people who got something prior to added acess - still matters.
hereās how raids worked in MOP.
there were LFR - Normal - Heroic (For mogu-shan vaults, heart of fear, terrace of endless springs, throne of thunder)
Clearing raid on Normal - gave you AOTC
Clearing raid on heroic gave you Cutting Edge.
There was a chance to raiding system when Siege of Orgrimmar was released.
now there were
LFR - Flex (anywhere from 10-30 players) - Normal - Heroic
Clearing Normal was AOTC
Heroic was Cutting Edge.
On the Pre-patch to WOD: mythic raids were announced.
So the following changes happened to for all WOD raids and Siege of Orgrimmar
LFR - Normal (was Flex) - Heroic (was Normal) - Mythic (used to be heroic)
in WoD, Cutting Edge started to be awarded for mythic raids.
the Reins of the Korkron War Wolf from AOTC Seige was from Normal (or higher).
Heroic Garrosh (which became Mythic Garrosh) dropped the Korkron Juggernaut (robot scorpion) 100% before WoD pre-patch.
Once WOD pre-patch released, AOTC mount Reins of Korkrok War Wolf was removed entirely.
Heroic (Now Mythic) Garrosh Mount Korkron Juggernaut (robot scorpion) became 1% drop rate on release of WOD Pre-patch.
Time to add aotcs by the month of the patch
Could you imagine?
Well, I prefer when weāre being avoided that insulted, I understand your reasons. Also, its a matter of perspective, since LATAM has 3 realms and thereās bad players in NA but thereās like 200 realms for NA. Also, the language barrier.
THANK GOD!! Iāve to level up like 40 alts from 60-70 for the next love rocket grindā¦I wish Blizzard fixed that grind to be something betterā¦just like happened with world bosses and this event.
Posting this because Iām just happy of this massive reduction.
They arenāt free. They cost a currency that is only available for a limited time. Choices will have to be made by most people on whether to get these farmable mounts or to spend it on other things available for the same limited time.
Some of that information would be helpful if we didnāt already know it. But hey, at least you are getting caught up to speed. Somewhat. Good job!
they would have had to loot it too
hehā¦ I mean it means something to people who got the thing? THEY know, that knowledge is not gone. But I also tend to at least try to live by a quote from one particular scifi book series, so I may not see these things is the same way
āReputation is what other people know about you. Honor is what you know about yourself. Guard your honor. Let your reputation fall where it will. And outlive the b****ds.ā
ā Lois McMaster Bujold, [A Civil Campaign]
Yea I agree, insults arenāt necessary.
I just avoidā¦ sometimes we give them chances in our runs, but we get burnt.
We tried last week. We had to kick them after the first boss and finished the key as a 4man. Ele shaman kept running ahead in a 18 and kept pulling stuff for the tank.
Meanwhile our main tank for our m+ runs is a psycho and does hundreds of timed runs per seasonā¦
But yea, no insults, just arms length lol.
And to add, If I saw you around, Iād happily invite you on a run. Not stranger danger
Donāt remind me
I still need thatā¦ and Iām with you there. Thankfully I only have like 30 right now. I tend to do 1-2 per tw week to ease the pain lol.
Pretty fire quote honestly.
But thats why posts like this are silly. Prestige shouldnāt be keeping everything to yourself.
I used invincible as an example earlier. Been farming it 14 years. Some weeks 15+ runs, others just 1. If it dropped today and they added it to a vendor tomorrow. I wouldnāt be mad.
I mean Iād be upset it wasnāt added sooner, but Iād be happy they gave it rng protection finally for those still grinding their hearts out.
Well obviously. And he obviously did or it wouldnāt have been in her bag. But Iām also pretty sure he had no idea what he was targeting nor any clue what he picked up.
but invincible hasnāt been farmable for 14 years yet, though.
it became a farmable 1% drop rate on the release of cata.
and on release of cata it still took like 10-15 ppl at least to kill heroic lich king.
Cata Release was December 7, 2010.
so it will be 14 years this december and thatās assuming you started farming it on the day of cata release.
When Mists was current content, my RAID never saw the astral Dragon drop, and the only Ji-kun mount went to our druid who won the roll. Many years later, first solo run of the Vault and I got the astral dragon, about a dozen runs later I got the mount. I tried the world bosses once or twice but considering they were always being camped and dead all the time I didnāt put any extra effort to it. I also did not spend time farming rares for their low drop rate mounts only Timeless isle because I was busy killing players to get the ashhide mushan mount with free for all pvp.
This event lets me choose if I want to spend time getting the mounts I didnāt farm or get lucky getting, while the mounts I did obtain means less farming for me to do compared to the ones who didnāt get any yet.
Then again, I have been extremely lucky with getting mounts lately. Breezebiterās mount I got on a whim, three kills because I saw him while I was flying by or encountered him right as he spawned, two kills to get Sarkās drake manuscript, Argusā uglyboi, the fel reaver, five quantum coursers, and an infernal from Gulādan all in one expansion.
grats on getting the mounts in the way that they were intended to be received.
but no, there should not be a vendor for rare drop mounts.
it basically makes everyone think - hmm, should i even bother farming this raid or iāll just get it for free when Shadowlands Remix comes out?
Invincible has been farmable since late 2009/early 2010 if you had a raiding guild at the time capable of heroic raiding. And it has gotten easier over time, obviously. So yeah, it has been 14 years. If you are going to try to BS your way through a conversation, at least try to get your facts straight.
will blizzard get new subs for mop remix? sure maybe idkā¦
but i know, in the long run, people will unsub in between remixās because they donāt wanna put in the effort to farm a mount that will be freely handed out.
