they need to revert this and start requiring work orders to have mats again

If you can read it’s pretty easy to see that not all the mats are supplied. (Pretty sure the words are color coded too, so reading not even necessary if you know what column to look at)
Oh I’m aware when they are or not. It is rather obvious. It’s also obvious why I never do with orders as well.
May I remind you that Shadowlands had an entire interface for legendary crafting and upgrading with soulbound materials—and missives, base pieces, and other profession-related items purchasable on the AH so that you didn’t have to have any professions?
Could not this same interface have been reiterated on to craft or upgrade any type of gear using soulbound currencies and profession goods on the AH? WoD and Legion also had more primitive ways of upgrading soulbound gear without having the appropriate profession.
The question devs seemed to have in mind for DF is: “How can we force more player interaction?”
Get the Addon “No Mats; No Make” and this is no longer a problem.
Leave it to addon creators to fix dumb crap that blizzard caused.
