Work Order Spamming with no mats

The work orders being spammed with no materials is out of control… my ignore list is long past maxed out with no way to stop the ever increasing spam having to go into each other to see if its legit or not.

Please consider adding a filter, drastically increased ignore list size , a notification at the top level to show if the mats are provided or not.

get an addon that does that.

Legit - the number of no mats with abysmal commission is redonkulous. Do any of these actually get filled…? I know I’ve done one or two poorly paying for the last few points of a profession - but like for dracosyth, i’m not going to use my charges for your 500 gold commission with no mats.

spam?
dont we have to put down the gold to put in the work order…the tips or whatever?
are they spamming for a 1 gold tip or something?

Saw a guy who was offering 95 gold.

He provided all the mats except for the 4 required Awakened Order . . . which are 350g each on the AH.

It’s so stupid.

Blame the handful of idiots on this forum who kept demanding that Blizzard add the ability of people to post work orders so they (the crafter) could provide all the materials.

I haven’t looked at work orders on a single character in months.

Almost fell for one for the Shadowflame 447 enchants to fulfill, saw i was about to use my own materials and canceled quickly…IDK if its for scams or just people not wanting to use their own materials, but what is atrocious is…3k worth of materials for 75G tip, awful.

I frequently check on my JC. Everyone always needs a band of titanic insight, or a lariat crafted. Or a ring-bound hourglass, but I don’t have the pattern for it.

I don’t bother on my BS or LW. It’s all just Naxx stuff which I haven’t done because I have no interest.

There really should be more baseline filters.

I will say, it’s so bad I just commission my self on an alt each week to get my Work Orders done. I pick cheap recipes too.

I did bite the bullet with one recently for a “first craft” bonus but only because it benefited me and it only procced rank 3. My only regret was that I didn’t think to take my blacksmithing gear off and equip a vendor hammer to rank it even lower :T Id of also used 1 star quality materials but they were more expensive.

In all seriousness, the Work Order system has so much potential but feels dead as heck and the only people posting do not tip at all even though they don’t supply any of the materials.

Probably never should have allowed people to post without the materials when most people give a 100g tip for 5k+ crafts.

I’ve been saying since launch they just need to remove that damn quest.

It’s the source of ALL the crying and moaning about work orders.

You 100% hit the nail on the head.

Cruddy thing is, I want to craft stuff for people, it’s not like I am expecting huge tips, I do want to help with crafting (I am weapon focused in my points right now) but at most there is only ever alloys in there and no materials provided and no tip.

I do a lot of personal work orders. People know to come to me. Public orders? Ha! Forget it.

They are giving tips, like 500g, but offering no mats for the process. So you’re paying out of your own pocket to fill in what they failed to provide. 99% of the time the order costs more than 5x what they tipped.

I haven’t either. Perhaps they could base the tip fee based off the Buyout price of the AH +5% or something like that.

Not to mention the trip out to the shadowcrafting tables or (god forbid) the altar of decay.

(Blizzard can take their “we want it to be like classic where you had to go into scholomance to make flasks” idea and shove it.)

I would like it if they make it so once you go there once you can do a quest to unlock the ability to craft those in Val’draken. Like, a way to unlock convenience through a quest.

Could be as simple as “hey you know those quests at the Fyrrak Assault that nobody does? do them once and you don’t need to go out there to use the shadowcrafting tables anymore”

I bet the people that put up work orders with no mats and a very tiny tip are the same people that order shakes from Sonic via DoorDash at 2pm from a location that is 12 miles away while tipping nothing and then report the driver because the shakes were melted.

When ever I put in WO’s with no mats (like the weekly draconic stuff) I make sure to put a commission of at least 750 gp (usually 1k recently). Since that’s far more than the mats cost - it makes it worth the person’s time. Also I get them crafted SUPER fast <.<
