literally not ruining anything for you, if it is its entirely self inflicted
I’m more wondering why people are so hung up on worgen being allowed to have tails?
I mean, is it really that big of a deal if they get that option?
Blizzard could easily do something which is shown in the video I posted which makes the player more attuned to Goldrinn and in result, they sprout a tail. These people who are so adamantly against worgen players getting what they have been requesting for over 10 years mind you, are either trolls, furry haters, and probably don’t even have/play worgen characters on the regular if at all.
PS This isn’t about being furry either, this is strictly about aesthetics.
Creatures can not magically sprout a tail. Worgen are not supposed to have tails. They never have had tails.
It’s a fairly big deal for a creature to suddenly sprout a whole 'nother moving and functioning limb out of nowhere.
Worgen are inspired off of Werewolves, not wolves.
They are not wolves.
They do not have tails.
Werewolves in this universe dont have tails.
Just like Crocodiles in this universe have 6 legs.
I don’t quite understand how people are wanting sudden, drastic changes to the lore and races like this. My only thought is that people who request it dont care about the lore (as seen by the Worgen above) and really just want a no-story game… Like a sandbox game? Which is fine… But that’s not Warcraft. Warcraft is a fantasy game built on lore. Lore is the game. You follow a story. Stories have characters that follow guidelines set by that universe.
I’m not asking this to be argumentative, but honestly curious.
What in-game or official out of game (like the warcraft books) lore actually states that Worgens can not have tails, other than simply ‘the models haven’t had them so far’?
If you scroll up, this is a pretty good place to start.
Didn’t they already do that and the Night Elfs and Humans that were closer to Goldrinn lost themselves to the rage. thats why Stormrage had to banish the Druids of the Pack into the Dream
“they cant have them because reasons”
nah, we can have them, because reasons
There are PLENTY of werewolves in pop culture today that have tails.
Elder Scrolls says hello. Your responses are very condescending and a bit rude. I will be ignoring your responses from here on out. There have been PLENTY of things in the warcraft universe that have been adapted through concept art into the game. Upright orcs say hello.
I’ll look over them again, but that still fits in to the ‘current models/depicitions haven’t had them’ not lore specifically saying they could not have them.
Same as humans suddenly gained ethnicity in shadowlands, or there could have been technical limitations to tails that couldn’t be or didn’t want to be dealt with before being worked out for the Vulpera tail models.
Is there written/spoken word somewhere, be it a developer commentary (chronicles, interview), quest text, book script, something of that nature stating a tail is not possible for the race.
Official Blizzard concept art of worgen females for Cataclysm had tails. Their body skeleton even has a tail bone in the rig now.
Some people want to complain to complain when it doesn’t even remotely effect them at all.
My post shows official concept art. Lots of it.
There is one official concept art that I know of that gives Worgen a tail, all the rest of the concept art did not have it… And the one concept art that DID have the tail?
Just going to leave this here… again.

And that one belongs to this artist.
Again, I am not talking to you. You complain to complain. We don’t have Asian humans now we do. Nothing wrong with giving the players the OPTION to have a tail. Now go away.
Concept art doesn’t change what was mentioned that the artists simply could have been told not to draw them because adding them was not feasible when the race was being introduced, and races change as the mentioned humans gaining ethnicity.
The twitter comment however is a written/spoken statement saying to that effect, so thank you.
They can’t because they never had tails and every time they did was a mistake.
And there are plenty that does not. Dog Soldiers is a popular film and they don’t. It really doesn’t matter regardless. This is Blizzards take, not yours.
My Worgen would not want a tail given how much she fights.
I’m not complaining. I’m stating facts.
The only ones complaining are the ones who are screaming about how ‘unfair’ it is that worgen dont have tails because Vulpera do.
The art is in the collector edition book of Cataclysm, so it’s an official one.
Beside, with black blood elves, the lore is now actually ruined so…
