IMO Wargen aren’t stable enough to be shamans

Ever since their stealth shoulder size reduction nerf I havent really touched any of my Worgen characters and am annoyed they dont give out free race change when they do janky crap like that to the race armor sizing models.

Shaman worgen I think wouldnt be as cool as youd think itd be.

if they can be monks, they can be shamans

Monks do not have to deal with the Chaos of the elements. Considering Worgen have to be caught and retrained how to be civilized. Yea Wargen should not be Shamans.

Monks actually do have to deal with the chaos of the elements. What do you think their fighting styles are imbued with? A big part of their lore has to deal with the elements and the spirits.

That is why chi/spirit is a huge part of the monk lore. Also why monks also wanted the Fist of Ra-Den until the farseer took it.

Monks are kinda like shamans in a way, but with fists and not as much elemental control. They still need to deal with the elements and use spirit to control that chaotic side, hence why Worgens weren’t able to be monks because “their feral and savage side couldn’t deal with the element of spirit”. Well that is now gone and that is the main aspect of shamans as well.

Remember, monks literally can split themselves into three elements. Storm, earth and fire. And mist walkers literally use the element of water to heal, they just use mist and vapor to do it with tea brews as well.

Meh I dont have a monk and hardly see them so no clue. It seems like monks are the least played class.

Yucky. /tem

aye, so if worgen can be monks, they can be shamans because they literally use the same concept. Shamans are like the casters to the monks melee in wow now, if shamans didn’t have a melee spec.

But yeah, monks are all about the inner spirit/chi and the elements. That and getting wasted.

Enhancement is the melee spec.

Yeah, that is why I phrased it as such because I know enhancement is the melee spec lol.

Sorry I have contacts in and sometimes they turn and words get blurry for me. Now That being said I do not have a monk so I know nothing about their lore or anything. I just feel dealing with how chaotic the elements are that Worgen would be bad as Shamans.

Even if monks deal with elements they are kind of like the Jedi with how they use meditation and keeping the balance and so forth. Looking into them you see them meditating. So they have a way to help suppress how chaotic the elements are.

Shaman’s have no such thing we are in the chaos with the elements. So again I just cant see Shamans being good for Worgens.

Shamans need to be in calm with the elements as well, they’re not with chaos at all. That is dark shamans. Huge part of the shaman lore is being one with the world and beyond in a calming fashion. Chaos breaks that connection completely, that is why shamans are needed to calm the chaotic way of the elements. Hence why when the Orcs started to use more chaotic magic
aka fel, that connection was completely broken for the orcs till Thrall came around to bring back the calm connection to the elements and listen.

Monks and shamans are basically the same thing culturally and spiritually

I want dwarven druids.

Yea I can tell you Enhancement Shamans are not calm.

Thrall literally has to keep himself in constant check, and he’s the poster boy of enhancement.
The last time he had a tantrum, he literally leveled and laid waste to an entire castle complex, in a blind rage.
To imply that Shaman don’t have to keep themselves in check and calm is just
 wrong.
The essence of shamanism in WoW is the ability to commune and make deals with the primal forces. You beseech the elements to gift you for power, and they ask that you keep the natural forces of the planet in check in return, and not to abuse their power. You can’t really make deals and commune with spirits as someone that’s in a constant frenzy or rage, as you seem to be implying enhancement is in.
The ability to commune with the spirits and wilds already exists for Worgen in the form of their Harvest Witches, aka Druids. Both druids and shaman commune with the spirits of the Wilds, albeit in different ways. Druids draw their power from the Dream and some Wild Gods, and shaman beseech for their power from the primal forces and also some Wild Gods. A shaman that cannot commune with the Wilds literally are incapable of using Ghost Wolf, Feral Spirits, and other wolven abilities, as they draw that power from a Wild God, not an element itself. Monks commune with the spirits themselves much in the same way, but they draw far more of their power from their own Wild Gods, the celestials (Xuen, Nuaizo, Chi-ji, and Yulon) which lends to their fighting style. They also use varieties of nature magic, and as mentioned before, are able to split themselves into elemental copies based on the elements themselves. Something you can’t really do unless you’re asking those elements for their aid.

The Worgen as a whole are intimately linked to that exact Wild God themselves that Enhancement themselves talk the most with; Goldrinn.
They directly draw their ferocity, cunning, and otherworldly strength directly from the curse of Elune and Goldrinn themselves.
When an enhancement shaman asks to use the power needed for Feral Spirits, they’re not beseeching a type of element; they’re asking Goldrinn (Gonk if you’re using Raptors, one would assume) directly to lend them aid. The same with Ghost Wolf. While it’s never commented on, one can extrapolate that Elemental Spirits (elemental wolves) is asking both Wild Gods and elementals in tandem to lend them strength, infusing one’s power with the other.
If anything, Worgen have candidacy for shamanism, namely as Enhancement, based on their connection to Goldrinn and their calming ritual completed during the Worgen opening questing experience, which lends their human mind complete control over the beast’s body, and overall, giving them an inner tranquility that’s not matched by any other race, saved maybe tauren.

Basically, what I’m saying is that when you look at where shaman (namely enhancement), monks, and Worgen draw their power from, and apply the tranquility ritual of the Gilnean questline to it, it actually asks why wouldn’t Worgen be able to shaman; not why should they?
