The Worgen have gone from good bois and goils to sweet babies.
I appreciate that my female Worgen look a bit more lupine. I also like the changes to their casting animations. I wish there were more eyes like the yellow ones, though; shining eyes sans white sclera would go a long way towards making them look more intimidating. I also don’t care for the run.
It would also be nice if they took this opportunity to separate the appearance of the individual forms, but I suppose that was too much to ask.
I only looked at one of the two Goblins I currently have and she looked fine to me. I’ve seen some other examples elsewhere that weren’t as great.

I can’t really see a difference in the goblin ones when I went to make one other than overall looking a little sharper. Worgen are cool though. Not really the kind of thing I play in general but they don’t look as out of place anymore.
The non-glowing eyes on the males look super stupid to me but the rest of the face options make up for that.
The sheer amount of face options that the females get makes me a touch upset, it would be great to have that much variety for all the races but I guess Blizzard is making up for them looking so awful for so long.

I have a feeling this is going to be mostly about Worgen, which is fine. I’m speaking from goblin perspective and I’m not happy.
The traits that my goblins have that made them look like individuals have been scrapped. Especially this toon I’m posting as. She went from exhausted, aged yet soft-featured to painted streetwalker. And there doesn’t seem to be a way to effectively replicate how she used to look. It’s not the character I made.
If you’re a male goblin with green eyes, that’s gone now, too. I have a feeling that Blizzard is eventually going to add more customizations like eye colors, so I’m not going to focus on that part too much. It’s still annoying.

I do agree that the goblins got the short end of the stick (har har short)
My Horde character is a male goblin using that roguish red-eyed face, and his expression has totally changed from a gruff scowl to wide-eyed surprise.
I don’t hate it but it has changed his character a lot.

This is the price we pay for interchangeable animations.
this is sort of in-line with the previous model updates, especially for humans. Where all the individual face shapes were combined into one for ease
which, was pretty lame. but then again blizzard has never been good at character customization or even cared about it that much

They changed my character’s eye color and I’m not okay with it. Before, he also had a slight smirk and a sinister look. No longer. I’m very mad.

On a lighter note, though. The worgen are definitely a step up. Goblins seem… the same. I guess improved facial features but
That’s sadly the luck of the draw. Blood elves had a similar experience where all their facial expressions were lost. I don’t know how hard it is to just keep the right eye color though…
Pink eye is negligible, but I’ve been attached to the look for 8 or 9 years. I guess any change hurts.

I love the new goblin faces. No longer do most of the options look like they’re strung out on something. The makeup also looks a lot less garish and haphazardly applied. Also, clothes fit them better without as much texture stretching.
And those expressions! Wonderful!

My worgen went from a fierce snarling werewolf to a cute husky puppy with baby fangs. Not happy.
The only face/hair combo I found that I could tolerate on the worgen looks horrible in human form.

Not super happy. The eye color on my male goblin has changed and that option is no longer available. So kinda pissy right now.
