I think the real question is how do you feel about hooves and should Draenei be affraid?
LOL that is perfect.
Are they cloven? If not then feel free to not subscribe. Liotuse has awoken something inside me.
I think I’m about to make a grave mistake and get to a point of no return due to a foot joke.
One foot in the grave, if you will.
“Pandaren”
Cause six years later, people still get triggered that Pandaren are in the game.
To be fair people still make “Blood Elves are gay” jokes.
This is the community Blizzard has curated
“There’s already been a major character who was gay, Garrosh.”
As a prequel to my previous comment:
“What’s your passive perception? Oh, that’s not good.”
That’s any MMO or place online, though. “X is Y and Z is U” It’s not entirely blizzard’s fault.
People are people, no matter where they are.
Edit: Final Fantasy has people making fun of Lafanels, or Vieras (If those are spelled correctly), ES:O has people making fun of Khajit and Nords, SW:ToR has people making fun of non-Jedi, Guild Wars 2 has… uh…
I’ve never played Guild Wars 2… But yeah. People are people everywhere.
“why do guys play girl characters” never fails to stir up trade chat during primetime hours
speaking of which…
The difference is that the majority of the potato or rabbit jokes are explicitly affectionate, whereas Blizzard operates under this weird double-standard where they all but encourage the insult-laden rivalry they’ve created and then act surprised when those same players they’ve been encouraging tribalism in for 15 years turn that toxicity on them.
“Is this server too liberal?”
Too liberal
“Do Blood Elves reproduce asexually? I’m not seeing any men” HURHURHURHURHURHURHURHRU
whenever i see that joke (or any of its variations) all i can think of is how brave and original the person making it is
The idea that the WoW and FFXIV community is in any way shape or form comparable is so laughable it’s got its own HBO special.
The difference, you see, is that Square actually moderates its community.
Hey, blizzard moderates! if you make a forum post sharing a picture of a jerk’s abusive behavior to warn others they will ban you in an INSTANT
I hate that I can’t remember who said it but I once saw someone say that Blood Elves reproduce by staring very intently at one another. I still love that and always will
That’s endearing af. Idk why but that just sounds, cute to me.
I’ve said it before: the communities are the same, it’s Squenix’s moderation that makes the difference.
Because callout threads are against the rules as is naming and shaming, and an unfortunate side affect of that is it also means that ALL naming and shaming has to be banned, Blizzard is one of the more fair moderation teams I’ve seen and so far I’ve had an okay time dealing with their custiomer service. AS bad as BFA was story wise, my mehness does not extend to blizzard itself, and the fact that they seem to be learning from the mehness of BFA is awesome. I’m a relatively new customer but I’m still pleased with them. It’s the players that I can’t stand mostly.
