The Worgen are one of the shining races for the Alliance; being one of two that aren’t literal humans. But the price of that awesomeness comes at a cost; flexible classes and being tailess. All they have is the druid class, but no one worth their salt wants to be some leaf-eating hippie.
I love the Paladin. The utility of throwing out cheap Word of Glory’s and using freedom’s and blessings is incredibly fun. But alas, the Worgen can’t be Paladins (or Monks for SOME reason).
Now I’m languishing in WoW, a lvl 45 Squid Paladin. When I use /roar, it’s not the bestial howl of a predator, but some god awful line ‘CoURagE! dO NOT FauLtER~!’.
Just, no.
Alliance can have regular humans, squat and dumpy humans, and Squids (including the LED kind) for paladins. Bleh.
Maybe players would actually play Alliance if you had some diversity, hmmm Blizzard? Start opening up the class selection for some of these races?

But they are “literally humans”. They got there wolf form and HUMAN from, lol
The alliance are fully humans types ( small, big, fat, thin) and some space goats, lol

Gilneans never worshipped the light, so, no.
While I agree that they should get monk, there are lore reasons for the other classes.

What do you call the Cathedral district IN Gilneas then?

Ok, you got me there. But this was blizzards original reasoning.
The reason of ‘no class trainers’ for monk went out the window with exiles reach and has always been a big pile of dung since we don’t use class trainers since… forever.
The whole monk situation was thrown out the window when Void Elves (who were squatting in the Void since Legion) and Garbage Pail Gnomes (Who were marooned in a junkyard on an ISLAND) suddenly knew how to throw a punch.
Worgen who literally WENT to Pandaria? Never had to lift a finger, apparently.

The boy king went from Priest to Paladin.
At this point any race who can be a Priest should be able to roll a Paladin.

But muh lore.
lmao.

Now a deathknight
Priest to Pally to Deathknight.
But hey Nightborne who have been locked in a Literal bubble for the last 10000 years avoiding all races can learn to be a monk on day ONE of that bubble popping.

Blizzard has actually said that the story (lore) will always take a backseat to game-play. They want to keep the ratio of class/race combinations on each faction side as equal as possible…so even though the examples given by posters in this thread might make sense, it’s unlikely to happen.
So…no druids for Vulpera, either.
didnt you make another thread like this before?

Yes, and it still bothers me.

It’s not equal.
Horde has 11 races that can be monk
Alliance only has 10 races that can be monk

If you’re asking for options, don’t. They’ll just figure out a way to give us something we want and then put it behind some meaningless grind.

I would do it in a heartbeat if it meant Worgen Paladins and Monks.
omg sadly… why do I see this as a real answer with today’s acti-blizz. Some metric to drive up cost and time = content that should have just been engaging to start with.

It’s a sad state when the player base almost expects them to do that. It’s why retail is where it’s at today.

Indeed…and counting allied races, there are four in the Horde that can be druid, but only three in the Alliance. I didn’t say that the Blizzard was good at keeping the ratios balanced…only that they were trying to.
Today I learned something new in wow.
I honestly never new Druids have 4 in horde and only 3 alliance.
So horde gets more monks and now more druids.
It’s funny but it kind of is the first time in the history of “Horde bias” that I actually made me go… He is right but uhh… is this a rabbit hole I want to go down. I’m still not a tinfoil hat wearing “Horde bias” crying player but this truly makes me think.
