Yeah I try to make friendly conversation in the groups I’m in. Sometimes the dynamic works and convo starts to flow, sometimes the dynamic isn’t there. In either case it’s okay. Sometimes I too don’t feel talkative.
The issue is that with RDF there’s far less incentive to get the convo started because you’re legit never gonna see those players again because it’s not possible to when they’re on another server. Increased toxicity due to instant requeue notwithstanding.
This sounds about as made up as it gets. They kicked you after the bow dropped? Meaning there was no master looter, so after you clicked need and got kicked, if you won it you’d have still gotten the bow. Another anti-RDFer just making up scenarios to fit the narrative.
That may no longer be true. They are making more changes.
I don’t think anyone would be kicked heroics in wotlk are laughable and able to be ran through quite easily
When you make the group you can include whoever you want.
Or are you saying if you are the group leader you will gatekeep others based on your preferences? You shouldnt gatekeep people.

In wotlk you could be vote kicked in rdf durring a roll.
And if you arent in the group to loot it even if your roll would have won, it goes to the next person.
How it worked was they would not click need, greed, disenchant, pass. They would let the timer run.
While voting you out of the group.
Then after you are removing from grouo they select their rolls and because you are no longer in the instance you cant get the loot.
This was before the mailbox would send you items you “forgot” to loot.
This behavior did happen, but fixes for it were pushed in in cata.

Your post goes to show you how many have no clue how things were in WOTLK.
That’s not how that works, though. Even if you get kicked, you still have the loot to roll on. It doesn’t remove your ability to roll for it, the same way grouping now doesn’t.
I honestly don’t remember since I never saw anyone get kicked while looting.
And he’s not talking about RDF anyway. He specifically says ‘on our server’.
I’m not sure if you can initiate a vote to kick at all when loot is up for being rolled. We can’t check on retail, obviously, and can’t in Wrath…
Not knowing the basics of how RDF works, it was cross server from day one so you can’t pull the “well my server was different card”. Or the basics of how all loot worked, you have never been able to kick someone and then bring in someone else for BoP loot. Is pretty funny if you’re claiming someone else didn’t have a clue.
Almost like you are blatantly lying about how much bad behavior actually went on in RDF, especially after a couple measures were put in place.

I really don’t know where people come up with this ‘rdf was so toxic’ stuff. I did a lot of random heroics in Wrath. Probably close to a thousand in that last year. Literally never saw anyone troll, purposefully wipe, argue about gear. A couple people went afk. Some random people leave suddenly. But who knows why…their house could have been on fire.
It was a fantastic experience for me. People were very chill. That’s how most people are. They’re not dramatic and crazy. They just want to bang out a dungeon. Oh, someone else won a roll? Big whoop. Finish the dungeon, queue again and you’re quickly in another dungeon. That’s the beauty of the convenience and accessibility. It takes the edge off everything.
Will it be the same in Wrath Classic? I don’t know. The playerbase has changed. What I do know is that without RDF it’s a toxic, elitist, gatekeeping mess. My gut tells me when people can just relax and not have to worry about the stress and frustration of just getting into a group, that naturally they’ll behave better. At the very least it can’t be any worse.

At the end of the day most people just want to get in and get the dungeon done, RDF doesn’t change that dynamic.
