With this SL hate... I think people need a reminder

You need to remember a huge amount of old players came back for SL. This isn’t the wow we know and love at all.

YES, I remember people complaining of putting in effort and not getting rewarded, good times.

The covenant gear is just like the Nazjatar gear, when you upgrade it, you know what ilvl it will become. I don’t understand what you want.

Gratefull offerings, but go on, you’re doing fine.

Yes complaining about bugs, lag and lets not get started on putting time in and not getting rewarded, the nerve of paying customers.

I’ve accepted this is how General Discussion works. For my time, Shadowlands is the best expansion since Mists of Pandaria. It’s not perfect, but what MMORPG is?

Same here on 13 120’s. Was easy fast and fun with flying and flight whistles, now I can barely do 3 toons and I quit after 1-2.

All your wq’s meaning every wq in a zone? Or 4 you needed for emissions? Because if it’s the latter, then I have to call BS as I did 3 emissions on 13 toons in 1-2 hours.

If your an altoholic like myself then yes SL is worse than BFA.

This is exactly the camp I am in. I don’t like instanced content. I like world content I can do alone at my own pace. But they keep removing the content I enjoy to cater to raid loggers because they don’t wanna feel like they have to do wq. Now I log in and feel like there’s nothing I wanna do. The wq are bad and unrewarding.

I’m not a big fan of shadowlands. I’ve been trying to figure out what the reason for that is. However, I think that blizzard is going to have angry people on the forums no matter what they do.

If every desicion in shadowlands was the polar opposite you would just have a different cast of characters on here.

I imagine blizzard know this, and I wouldn’t be surprised if part of the onboarding is learning how to take that negativity in stride.

They’re going to look at sub numbers and time played metrics to determine how to steer this ship. They know they’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t on the forums.

Some people just want to complain…that’s their thing.

The context was Xalvador arguing that soul ash isn’t a grind like AP was, because its front loaded in the first layers to make it easier for players. But unlike AP, there’s only a set amount of soul ash you can get per week, so if a player is going for an upgrade and they’re more than 1140 soul ash away, they’re just SoL until the following week. AP might’ve been a grind, but it was always available if a player need more to hit the next level/threshold.

The other comment about Torghast is just how underwhelming TC is versus the endless climb version that was introduced in the alpha/beta.

It isn’t the same people complaining. I literally had contact with 100 players that will not touch this game anymore. There is a reason why it struggles to get 5 million players now versus 8-10 of years past. 5 million i am sure is far generous.

Just because it’s better doesn’t mean anything. People think shadowlands is better than BFA because BFA was just that bad. If shadowlands continues on its path I’d be surprised if WoW still had a decent player base, then again WoD existed and people still played so who knows.

You’re claiming shadowlands is already better than legion? When it’s barely better than BFA? LOL.

BFA wasn’t alt friendly at all

Okay, so this is all opinion, but yes. Legion had its good things but I don’t miss the Artifact grind. Being stuck on a single spec unless I want to grind out even more Artifact Power for another? Yeah … that’s not fun to me, lol. But to each their own.

Legion was garbage, bfa was built from legion… it was more garbage, shadowlands is slightly more palpable because you can actually kill healers in PvP but it’s still trash. Unfortunately there’s nothing else to play so the only choice is playing trash.

The past 2 expansions were just to normalize the playerbase to constant time gating and borrowed power taking precedence over your actual class mechanics.

The streamers did not convince the devs of this. The growing influence of old time veteran players in the dev department reflects the fact that they already shared those opinions that elitist streamers hold and use to manipulate their viewership.
