Wishwing pet found!

Doing FL run now. So far it has NOT gone well, lol.

After many deaths, I now have the Glittering Phoenix Ember drop.

Back to farming … le sigh.

It was just a matter of time this was going to be adjusted. I feel bad for all of the people that rushed to farm it.

  • Inert Phoenix Ash is now found on both varieties of fire elementals in the area it drops in (was only one type), and at a significantly increased drop rate.

Should of been like that from the start of getting that item for the battle pet…you’ll might have to make a trial alt and use a low pop RP realm if you realm still has tons of folks in the Crater area farming those drops…what I did when it first came out.

Are you kidding me i just finished the quest literally 2 days ago and collected ashes on 3 toons lmfao fml

My hunter has farmed for inert phoenix ash for 2.5 hours today. Only the scorchling elementals have dropped ash so far. I don’t believe they fixed this. Maybe it was a rumor put out to encourage players to kill both types of elemental. Now at 10/20 inert phoenix ash.

IIRC the change to Inert Phoenix Ash will be in the next patch, 10.1.5.

Do you need to have the arak storyline achievement on the toon doing the raid for the drop? One of my toons has it, but not the toon I currently play. Don’t want to do the rest of the farming for the other bits on that old toon either. I’ve been working on the quest chains, but not sure if I’ll get done in time (doing the raid tonight with guild).

Yes you do need it on every individual toon you intend on doing it on. Not the whole achievement but to the part where you can see him

Just as an FYI in case it helps someone.

My toon has not completed enough of the storyline to see the NPC I need to turn it in to. Based on what I’m seeing on wowhead, I’m still short 1 or 2 storylines. I was able to loot the item out of the timewalking raid. I just can’t (obviously) turn it in yet.

More questing for me!

So I’m 9/9 in Spires of Arak and can’t loot all the ashes. Some just simply aren’t in the pots. I’ve only been able to loot one so far. Any ideas?

Just keep checking each pot. I had to check each one multiple times before collecting enough for the pet. Not sure if it’s random or there’s an order, but the cookpots do spawn them eventually.

Thanks! I did finally figure that out… I thought the coords that I got from a wowhead post showed each location that had ash, but it finally clicked that these were potential spawns, not guaranteed.
