Wintergrasp ownership is broken on Arugal and has been since launch

This just got a brief mention by Metagoblin, hopefully pulls a little bit more attention to the issue.

I agree with you for the most part.

Two solutions they must choose from:
Option 1- Fix OCE

Option 2- Nerf the US and EU realms

Seeing as both factions are receiving Wintergrasp in the EU and US, as you would expect to occur in OCE.

Still isn’t fixed.

Ashkandi now infected, won a game but never got the buff.

Interestingly, as of right now, both horde and alliance have the buff on Yojamba, like often happens on US realms.

No details on blizz changing anything, “fix” or otherwise, so we must have had more than one game running after the queue window expired. One that Alliance won and the other that Horde won.

Just happened on US-Atiesh as well.

Won the game, never got the buff. Zone into Wintergrasp and it’s phased as Horde. Reloaded, relogged. No change. Zoned out, zoned back in. No change.

Glad I’m paying for Beta. Neat.

Ii is happening on Bloodsail Buccaneers too.

The buff gets wiped whenever a new game begins. I assume that since US has such a high population, and so many games are beginning at once as a result, you might not even see the buff before the server decides it’s gone again.

At any rate, only games that end outside the queue window decide which faction gets the buff.

I agree with this, I’ve very close to no longer paying this indie company for an Early Access quality game.

Not even a word on this subject or the myriad of other bugs yet to be touched.

Bump because this is still happening a month later.

This post is a month old and Blizz hasn’t even acknowledged it. Shocks a total of 0 people.

Bumping still an issue

Still an issue on Ashkandi

So with the weekly quests resetting today, I once again queued for Wintergrasp on Ashkandi at 9 PM Ashkandi time. And we the Alliance won our match. Then when I got back to Dalaran, for the next few minutes, I would see the Essence of Wintergrasp buff just flipping on and off randomly like a dog who cannot decide whether they want to be in or out.

I think the buff flipped on/off at least 5+ times in those few minutes. Each time that happened, I imagined that some Wintergrasp instance ended somewhere, and it had at least one character from Ashkandi in it. And I imagined that, “Oh Horde must’ve won that one, because we lost that one.” or “Alliance won this one because we got it back.” Until maybe seven minutes later when it finally settled on Alliance not having it. It must’ve been that the last Wintergrasp instance with Ashkandi players in it must’ve had the Horde winning that one.

Dear Blizzard developers, I know you probably have a lot on your plate and have to set priorities as to which bugs to work on first. So this bug would be more bearable for me if you could at least fix the bug where the weekly quest giver NPCs don’t appear at the flight base if said faction doesn’t have Wintergrasp. Maybe that bug is easier and quicker to fix first perhaps?

Something I just figured out: You can type /who Wintergrasp to see who on your realm is still in “Battle for Wintergrasp.” After my Wintergrasp match was over (where Alliance lost), I left the instance as quickly as I could so that maybe another instance where we “won” would end later and “overwrite” the loss.

At first, we didn’t have the Essence buff, but I thought about doing “/who Wintergrasp” and I saw that two players from our realm were still in “Battle for Wintergrasp.” I had my character parked just north of the Wintergrasp fort.

When the Essence buff came on, I typed “/who Wintergrasp” again and I saw that one of those two players was no longer on the /who list (has to say “Battle for Wintergrasp” BTW, not just Wintergrasp). So I figured that player must’ve won. Since there was one player remaining, and it was 12:31 AM, I rushed into the fort to try to grab all the weekly quests as fast as I could. I was scared that the one remaining player would lose their Wintergrasp match before I could get them all; causing all the Alliance NPCs to be replaced by the Horde NPCs as the Essence buff disappeared. Fortunately, I was able to get all the quests, and after that I did another /who Wintergrasp to see that player had left. With no more characters left in Battle for Wintergrasp on our realm, I think that means we’ll have the Essence until 3 AM.

Also, I’m wondering if, should my faction win, I wonder if it would help for me to “delay” pressing that “Leave Battleground” button as long as possible; I wonder if that Essence gets set or unset at the time I leave it. It might not help if the Essence is set at the time the match ends, but it’s something I thought about.

Having issues on Azuresong now, too. At this point, the zone does reset after the battle at all. In the past almost 7 hours, there have been no NPCs at all in the fortress; neither Horde nor Alliance.
