Wintergrasp needs adjusting

i’ve seen several games now where its mathematically impossible for attacking to win due to how easy it is for demos to be 1-shot by defending players. hunters will just pop out of stealth and kill 1-2 demos before mounted melee can even get in range to stun.

A premade just lost to a group of pugs.

which one?

Ya sounds like they need to stop crying and just get good and learn how epics work.

Making it cross faction would be nice. I almost always lose on that that map for some reason. Used to win it almost all the time back when it was a world PvP event in Wrath but it kind of sucks at a battleground.

You kinda have to actually play in order to win.

I think vehicles in general need looked over in all the bgs. These massive siege engines feel like they are made of wet paper.

Similarly to WG, Isle of conquest the vehicles go down in 3 seconds if they are even slightly focused.

Siege are always perfectly tuned at the beginning of a season, but blizzard doesn’t know or care enough to make sure their power/hp scales alongside the players.

If they did, then hangar wouldn’t be the “definitive” strat for late season IoC.

Pre-launch patch gets a lot of positive forum comments about epics because the vehicles/npcs are tuned for the incoming expansion.

It’s too bad they can’t figure out a way to keep up with that somewhat.

It’s not that they can’t figure it out its that they just don’t care.

PTPSD(post traumatic premade stress disorder) is real as illustrated by the responses of some players to a post about vehicle hitpoints.

Thats why I yell at those defenders inside the keep fighting players instead of one shotting demos on the roads.

Players can’t melt WG walls. 0 danger.

The epics are all broken atm because blizz refuse to scale npc’s and vehicles for each new season.

You can’t tell me they forgot. No, they have made a conscious decision not to scale them. The tiny amount of work required would screw up their metrics.

IOC - Fight for hanger, whoever wins goes on 90% to win the bg. The next 10 mins are just filler

AV - Rush to the end. Whoever has a few tanks and healers wins. Over in 5 mins

ASHRAN - Rush to boss. Typically one attempt with a few, then 10 five minutes later when the def is all gone. Easy win

WG - Even if offense win the first team fight they still only have a small chance of a win because the vehicles are so useless. Most matches decided in 2 mins, and drag on for 20.

Wintergrasp is especially bad because in many matches there’s quite literally no way to make the game go faster, even if you’re winning.

Winning on defense? After you’ve destroyed the southern towers you still need to wait out the rest of the attack timer even if you’re completely stomping the other team.
Losing on offense? Same thing, except you don’t even get your conquest at the end.

Generally true but Ashran may be a saving grace here. Win or lose, there are some good tug-o-war games that go down to the wire.

Ashran used to go down to the wire. Now, unless you have 5+ guarding your boss, 3-5 can backdoor and drop the game in 1 minute. The boss has a laughable amount of health - about 380mil. Only slightly more than the ogre of shame. Drops super quick with one tank and a couple of dps. Heals not really required.

tanks can backdoor solo

Just finished a WG on offense.

We won the team fight at SR, and lost the game. Didn’t even get a SINGLE wall down. The reason is simple:

The vehicles are WAY WAY WAY under tuned. A bunch of new L80 dps can easily take them out before they get anywhere near a wall.

What a joke of a BG. If you lose now on defense, it was prob because half the team was afk.

Defense was always easier than offense provided the defense had more than two brain cells.
