Wintergrasp can go to Hell

Take this pos BG out of the Epic rotation. No one likes it. Its an auto deserter debuff for 90% of the Alliance. The worst BG should have stayed a brawl. I dont want to spend 30 mins in a vehicle.

Itā€™s my fave atm. Were you defending in that game just a moment ago where we clown-split and wiped at SR, yet rallied and broke through west?

Wouldnā€™t this cause WG to pop that much more often for alliance if more and more people /afk out of it?

If all three epic bgs are popping 1/3 of the time each yet WG requires 3 times the amount of players due to desertersā€¦

I actually love this BG, I just wish Alliance knew how to play itā€¦

You must not play epics often, because I see Alliance regularly mass-ragequit out of Wintergrasp, itā€™s an epidemic :grimacing:

I myself leave this one like 95% of the time regardless of playing as Horde or as Alliance

No thanks! Itā€™s a far better use of my time to just requeue on an alt until either AV or IOC popā€¦ long drawn-out WG losses where the team is scattered all over the map/has no idea what to do just donā€™t interest me.

I donā€™t believe you read my post.

I honestly donā€™t know what Allyā€™s problem is. Itā€™s a very simple map, and I literally watch them screw it up 9 times out of 10.

In fact, in the last WG we were the ones that screwed up. But we won anyways.

From what I see, Alliance simply gets out-killed and out-damaged by a fairly significant margin in most teamfights, so it seems harder for Ally teams to get ā€œrankā€ in the first place because they generally get beat down whenever the 2 deathballs clash.

Now, how much of this sizable margin difference in killing blows/damage done is due to gear/iLvL and how much is due to player skill is hard to tell. It does seem like Horde generally focuses healers more/harder than Alliance during the big teamfights, so maybe thatā€™s part of it.

We always get multiple people calling multiple strategies regardless of the bg and we seem to have a bigger base of weaker players than horde.

I donā€™t know about that, tbh. Remember in WG the attacking team starts with a 15% damage buff that (can) shift to the defenders. From what I have seen it seems like a strategy/coordination issue.

Then donā€™t. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Only, like, twelve of you can even occupy a vehicle at one time out of forty.

More than that if you include ranged DPS (like him) in the passenger seat. You can freecast on the move without risk of interrupt, what caster wouldnā€™t like that?

The vehicle count can reach 24 - more than half the raid size.

The BG sucks - Alliance dont win here. Its not fun. Ive lost 30+ in row.

Whoosh.

I understand that itā€™s possible for a team to have a higher or lower max vehicle count. My point is that even in the case of the maximum, you donā€™t have to be in one if you donā€™t like it.

I often see a line of people at the shop waiting for a vehicle to go down so they can jump in. Let ā€˜em.

Agreed, this bg is just so boring overall

WG comebacks are rare from what Iā€™ve seen, so far Iā€™ve only seen Horde ā€œmake a comebackā€ from mistakes or losing the first teamfight.

If Alliance loses the first teamfight the mass-ragequits begin soon after, I have yet to see Alliance recover from a rough start in this bg

I havenā€™t seen the ā€œmass exodusā€ of players from Wintergrasp at the beginning or after the first team fight that others are reporting. Is this actually happening or is this another ā€œAV favors Allianceā€ myth that people think repeating it often enough will make it true?

My friend Wintergrasp has done way more than just gone to hell. IT IS HELL

Hell has frozen over indeed

I like WG a lot. Itā€™s fun, but it does get really annoying when I join the game late. When this happens the game is usually a loss and thereā€™s always like 30 minutes left on the clock. 30 minutes of people running around like headless chickens, swearing at each other isnā€™t fun. This happens way too much for me because this BG is like such a revolving door BG. Like most of my WG are games that have already started, got to a point where one side has no hope of winning and peeps start porting out and I wind up replacing one of these peeps. When this happens I usually port out as soon as I enter the game because the very low rewards for losses in these games are not worth the half an hour wait.

I donā€™t know. I do look at the shift-spacebar scoreboard to get a player count throughout a match and what Iā€™ve seen seems to support the idea. Usually after the first team fight Alliance will usually drop to 35-37 players.

One morning (low traffic time) I saw it drop to 19, I am not kidding. I was actually concerned weā€™d get the ā€œnot enough participants, match will end in 2 minutesā€ warning.

Edit: My mistake, it was actually 14. Was a pretty uneventful half hour from that point on. https://imgur.com/a/rL057u7
