I love WG. The problem is everyone noob that has no clue blaming someone else for their loss and leaving early. If you go to take a ws and are standing outside the ws, you are the problem. Blizz does need to change the fact that new people zoning in have no rank though.
How agree 110% with you, but there are some on the forums that thing this BG is the best ever. Good luck with the bashing youâre about to receive by not liking this BG.
Itâs amazing how many players donât even know that ranged can ride as a passenger. You have the entire vehicle health bar that enemies have to eat through while you just chain nukes at them.
Vehicles last longer when the ranged DPS riding on them view it like a light tank where they are the gunner and the driver and both gunners work together.
Enemy players trying to destroy your tank? Blast the bajeezus out of them with gpyro and chaos bolts. Meanwhile the vehicle takes the damage.
I donât come to the forums demanding that everyone else love Wintergrasp too, or demanding that the game be changed to suit my taste. That would be immature of me.
Thatâs all you got out of it? Really? Youâre a mage. If you donât see how what I posted could help you be more effective then yeah, I guess you donât get it.
Notice that the ones who enjoy WG are Horde. Play Alliance for 6 months and see if your attitude doesnât change.
WG is not fun for Ally. Its a mess - half the time I am entering a losing match or one that has 27 Alliance vs 40 Horde. I want to be able to blacklist this BG.
But ⌠OK, so, then letâs agree that the problem is, as you say, with playing Alliance.
Isnât the solution then not to blacklist the battleground, but instead to blacklist âbeing allianceâ?
I wish Alliance players werenât having this experience. When an Alliance team actually sticks together, they will whip Horde most of the time in any situation. However, Alliance has a culture of quitting at the first speed bump, or of just afkâing through life. Thatâs the real problem here IMO, but I donât know if thereâs a good way to try to solve it.
I enjoy it too, but TBH much moreso on horde side because people actually want to try. Alliance side often has a bunch of crying at the start along with AFKs. Though once in a great while we can muster the kinds of players with fortitude to put up a good fight and learn for the next time. That is all I really want from fellow alliance, but it is difficult to find amidst the constant defeatism.
Agreed. It has gotten considerably worse in epic BGs, at least, since the BfA prepatch.
Without blizzard stepping in with solutions (which some of us do have ideas for), the options for alliance who enjoy epic BGs but have poor experiences in them are:
primarily play epic BGs with preorganized raids (SPM, Clan, etc. - not sure how active they are and how solo queuers can âsyncâ with them)
create (or faction change) a horde toon to play epic BGs
try a different time of day to play epic BGs in the chance that you will find more success
Someone on the forums have said that the Horde has got a big community pacifically for this BG Alliance will never have that in this BG. So the chance of winning this BG is slim to none for the Alliance.
I think you are new to the forums Just about all here knows I will not jump in any vehicle to PVP I personally think Vehicles donât have no business in PVP. there is a few BG I like where I can put up with them This BG has way to many Vehicles for me to like matter fact I hate this BG.
You cant gain rank with NPCS like you could in wrath. So theres no way for attackers to effectively gain rank except bumrush fort and hope you get kills?
I hear ya on ^ this, it seems like I also get dropped into a lot of âin-progressâ losing Alliance WG games So obviously a lot of Ally DO leave this bg, and I donât blame them/hold it against them to be honest
The main problem is Alliance start to AFK out at the first sign of trouble in WG (example: losing the first teamfight). Even in AV the AFK-out rate isnât nearly as bad.
Alliance will generally stick around for a good 15 minutes in AV before you start seeing a large number of ragequits, but in WG the ragequits and AFKing out start happening as early as the 4-5 minute mark (or right around when the dust settles from the first teamfight).
The revolving door effect also creates a âvicious cycleâ of sorts⌠because the more Ally ragequit from WG, the more likely WG is to pop for other unwitting, unsuspecting Ally still waiting in the bg queue
