Cuz they wear plate? Hello, warriors???
And rotation difficulty has nothing to do with a melee needing a gap closer or not… Lol what

I don’t care about the gap closer. My only genuine issue with it is the visual copy paste. There are so many other visual/mechanical things they could do to differentiate it from Heroic Leap. Rogue Grapple is no better.
What I do care about instead is Paladins crap survivability and damage profile. All that gimmick burst reliant on procs and lining up cooldowns. It’s an infuriating play style.
Meanwhile Outlaw Rogue is over here feeling like procs done right. It’s smooth when you do it right, terrible when you don’t.
This is only for Havoc DH’s. Vengeance DH’s have infernal strike, which is akin to warriors heroic leap.
Personal I would have liked falling sword but there’s only so many mechanics you can come up with that haven’t already.
You either got a charge, targeted leap, or a skill rush. Oh and a grip. That’s it. Animations and secondary effects is what sets them apart
Think about it, you were almost there.
And rotation difficulty has nothing to do with a melee needing a gap closer or not
We both know that had nothing to do with it, I was replying to something false you said.
Hello, warriors
You mean those trained since an early age gifted in physical prowess? You mean the guys who have literally always had charge and intervene since vanilla? You mean the class that is canonically able to beat a paladin to death with their bare hands?
You’re comparing Spartans to civilians of Rome at that point.
It’s actually not that hard to grasp, you are certainly over thinking it. You’re just mad you can’t have everything someone else has and it’s blinding you.
That’s about it. I just wanted something visually different. Like maybe steal Transcendence and make it a targetable location instead. One you can teleport to when you press again. They could even take it another step and have it Shadow attack with you. I wouldn’t care.
Heroic Leaps animation just doesn’t fit Rogues or Paladins. It’s a rather barbaric looking ordeal that only vibes with Warriors. Make them front flip or something instead, I don’t care. Or dance their way to the location lol.
Dude… Paladins are a mix of warrior and priest.
And you’re missing the point that matters…
Every melee needs a gap closer. Again, literally every other melee has one. even the one that arguably doesn’t need it since they can do 80% of their damage at 30yards
That’s exactly what I’m saying.
Then we are in disagreement.
Every melee needs a gap closer
You have Freedom, which let me remind you is able to be cast on anyone. You also have steed so your argument is kind of moot.
literally every other melee has one
So do you, you just don’t like them because they aren’t instant like other classes. If you want a gap closer similar to a rush or charge, then you’ll need to lose steed for it. Or freedom.
Well as long as their covered in golden awesomeness and wings I think it’ll look fine. Turalyon looks pretty badass when he does it and he doesn’t even have wings.
Freedom and steed aren’t gap closers… Steed is on the gcd and needs freedom if slowed. So that’s two gcds to use it properly while slowed.
All real gap closers are off the gcd and close the gap instantly. Try again
And your one to talk. Dks have wraith, DAx2 and still have DG
I won’t care once it’s done. I’ll just be glad we have another gap closer for dungeons. Dear god is it annoying having the Monk/Rogue/Death Knight/Warrior/Demon Hunter/Druid/Mage/etc etc outrun us by 900%.
That and havoc’s fel rush is the only one listed above that’s used primarily for damage/buff not the actual movement
Well charge generates resource so there’s that too.
Dks have wraith
Isn’t worth taking majority of the time and it makes us unable to use abilites. So your point was bad.
DA is to abuse mechanics and kind of sucks outside of that. DKs are literally slower than Pallies.
Grip is my gap closer and I’m pretty fine with that.
> Gap-closer refers to an ability to get to the point you are trying to reach faster, and closing the gap between the two points .
Yes, Freedom and Steed by definition are gap closers. Would you like to try again?
They’re not instant gap closers and you know that’s what I’m saying…
And I think you’re going about this from a pve perspective… Because in pvp you’re going to use wraith to escape or catch up so no you don’t need to even cast anything. And at least wraith also has a built in freedom. Steed doesn’t. Again, you need to use both freedom AND steed which are both on the gcd.
But this is MOSTLY a pvp issue… And DKs have an amazing toolkit to stick to their enemies which one of the reasons why they’re a top melee atm
Lol you list steed and freedom while you literally have two better versions of them and also the best gap closer in the game and think somehow that shows why pallies don’t need one
Kerrigan is currently in the Maw working on her Xel’Naga transformation to save us from Dreadlord Prime evil Jaina
I like the name. It works with the Paladin class fantasy and it’s a cute nod to Starcraft. Why not we already have Zerg warlock pets.
That’s what shadowlands lore needed, Sarah Kerrigan.
