Windrunner Reconciliation?

I didnt really pay attention in SL.
But either way, you can name any character and people will hate them.

Well yeah because people have different tastes. But that doesn’t make it irrelevant that some characters are less developed and self-inserts and how bad that can be. They have just no chance of anyone even caring really.

The keyword is “can” be bad.
Side characters will always be less developed. Self inserts are really a non-issue.

For me it varies, for example I could careless about Veressa or Alleria but yet one of my favorite characters ever is Naleidea Rivergleam despite the fact nothing outside of basics is known about her but to me she’s super cool.

Yeah most of the time they are. I can’t think of a single one that was actually good.

They can be developed better for sure. They usually are not. Which is the issue.

She has a nice voice.

I mean, are we going to say the same for every side character? Cus WoW has… a lot

Depends on who it is.

Please no more taking people from the Alliance

Horde definitely won out in who we have representing us in that expedition group

Not the same thing

We’re not getting Exodar Draenei customizations for the already playable Man’ari Eredar

We didn’t get Zandalari skins for regular Trolls

Bronzebeard options were not added for the already playable Wildhammer Dwarves

What does it depend on?

The characters. Some have more potential than others. Leaders for instance should get fleshed out more.

Someone like Rokhan has more potential than like Toddy Whiskers.

I know it’s not the same thing, but it’s the best we’re gonna get IMO unfortunately.

There’s a lot to unpack in this thread so far, but I’ve been reading your comments. I understand where you’re coming from, but you missed a very important point of the lore in all this:

Vereesa herself even considers the Blood elves the High elves. She has said as much.

For example she didn’t believe her cousin deserved the name of “blood elf”, because he wasn’t trying to uphold the legacy of the high elves and if anything revelled in the extinction. That shows that she identifies what the name is about and means.

She also stated she herself would very likely have joined the blood elf ranks, if not for Rhonin giving her and a few of her kin in Dalaran access to mana to satiate the addiction (which…honestly it feels pretty snobbish for them to then judge the blood elves who don’t have access to such resources and relied on other means…).

Vereesa has also claimed that Quel’thalas is all of their home, and sees the others as kin, not as a separate race. Auric Sunchaser the same. They hope to see the race reunited and restored.

To conclude, it’s reasons like this why I think at the least Vereesa should become neutral and setup the idea that has already been hinted of the race reuniting and lands refilled.

You would really not like the Pandaren leaders.

Does she now? Because in the three sisters comic, she refers to the Blood Elves by exactly their name.

If this is true, then this is very contradictory for her considering she gleefully took part in the Purge Of Dalaran.

She considers them one people. And yes, they are also “high elves” in so much as the current high elves/blood elves are all high elves. But the two group are effectively the like Tushui and Huojin. Maybe both could reunite someday, or more likely the faction divide will keep them forever divided.

No as far as I recall she has never said she was given magical items to deal with her addiction. She actually grounded herself on her love for Rhonin and their kids. And while some high elves did use magical items to help the pang of withdrawal, it would be the difference between using a nicotine patch and just a flow blown smoke.

While that may be case. They want it united under the Alliance banner. But lets be honest, the bad blood between high/blood elves is as a deep as it was between the night elves/highborne.

Well yes of course she would refer to them by the name they wish to be referred to. They took the name based on their culture to respect the fallen and the legacy of their people. I don’t see why she should be rude and call them by another name.

The Purge of Dalaran, for Vereesa’s part, was aligned with the Jaina arc of absolute rage and grief. Jaina just took the spotlight for it. It was about feeling pure hatred for the Horde and wanting revenge. Vereesa, unfortunately, was playing the role of a “grieving widow”. Honestly though I am glad Rhonin is gone and she doesn’t have to live in his shadow anymore and for his story.

She later lets this rage and idea of vengeance go (even before Jaina) in order to see the bigger picture, as we saw in Legion. So she is back to the original idea of having everyone be on the same page again.

I’ve talked about how ignored they are before.
