Hello. I am looking for a program that puts my screen in 4 (or 2) quadrants. I want to use:
Bottom Right: WoW
Bottom Left: Real time stock prices (an app)
Upper Left: Live TV (Hulu)
Upper Right: Google Chrome
Is there an approved program out there by Blizzard that does this? I can’t be the first person to ask this in 20 years heh - I don’t want any automation or macros or anything like that, just something that quadrants my screen areas how I customize them that wont raise red flags with Blizzard.
What kind of monitor are you using? If you’re using Dell you can download Dell Display Manager and set up your screen to be split into quarters. I imagine HP has a similar kind of software.
Neither should get you into any trouble or anything.
Just so were clear your not gona fet a concrete answer from blizzard things change rather fast.

Blizzard doesn’t tend to approve any software, it may be legit now, but not later. I would believe as long as it doesn’t interact with the game data stream, inject instructions, vit should be alright. You just won’t get an endorsement here

As long as all the programs can be ran in a windowed mode. Windows 10/11 should be able to accomplish this for you. I believe it’s called the windows snap feature.

Nope, nor will Blizzard approve any 3d party software. Use at your own risk.

Woah, thx… never heard of it, will look into it.
Ouch…
Yeah those were my thoughts. It doesn’t do anything other than hold a template for the windows is what I am needing.
Only thing I’ll add, is that if you plan on having more than one WoW window open, I’d avoid any sort of third-party window organizer as most have some sort of capabilities to “streamline” multiboxing and can lead to account actions.
If you’re sticking to one WoW account open, I’d agree that it should be fine in theory.

I may do that in the future, would the Windows snap feature be considered 3rd party being the OS? I just checked it out and it works perfectly.
Honestly, I can’t say with any certainty. As the rules stand, ANYTHING that helps to “streamline” multiboxing, is currently against the rules.
If you’re multiboxing on a single PC, you’ll want to literally alt-tab from one client to the next. Anything else could be seen as streamlining.
Unfortunately, as others have correctly pointed out, Blizz won’t give the green-light for anything outside of their own purview.

If you right-click on your Taskbar and select 'Show Windows Side-by-Side’, perhaps that would do the trick? I think it applies to all open windows.
Windows 3.1 had a more aptly-named ‘Tile Windows’ feature. o.o
Or just buy second monitor ? Tehee
Awe. How sweet of you to buy me one. Need my crypto address?
this is built into windows 11

Please do not give this advice, this is most likely a quick way to get someone’s account sanctioned. This could taken as streamlining which is against the Multiboxing rules.
The way they want you to do it is to click on each individual window and press your action button and then click to a different window.

Those are usually famous last words historically… Just inviting karma…

That is wonderful to hear. However the purpose of the Customer Support forums is for players to give sound advice to other players. Not give them advice that could potentially get their account actioned.
And if that advice comes with a warning like this, then. It is not sound advice for someone looking for help.
If you are truly playing that way, and I have no reason to believe that you are not. Then you are certainly doing so at your own risk. And I suspect you know that. But it is not responsible for you to give that advice to other people who may not fully understand that could lose their account over taking that advice.

TBH the best way to MB is the old school way. 2 or more computers, mice and keyboards, reaching around your desk like a trapize artist hitting your keys. Man I remember those days. And I loved MBing that way.

That is me back in Everquest - 2 keyboards with my Warrior ann Cleric. So much fun.
Thx to everyone else. Decided to just buy another monitor. Found a pretty amazing deal for a 1920x108-0 144hz for $100 with 4.7 stars on Amazon. Well worth it.
