Windfury bug RETURNS?

some screenshots and rumors floating around that windfury/windfury has been UNFIXED

PLEASE spam report anyone you CONFIRM to be using the bug

the only way to REALLY determine if you looking at an exploiter is to dig through the details and find FLAME TONGUE WEAPON
flame tongue does next to NO damage and will average between 1-4% overall situationally
but if it’s there it means WFWF isn’t

dunno how to be certain but if you arenamate the realm ghostlands u can see that it looks like they did not

I had a couple people on a public discord claim they got reset, but haven’t heard of anything more severe.

Someone explain how this works please. So you don’t need to put WF on ur weapon because of bug so flame tongue does more damage on the breakdown? Is dat right

a partial tell for people doing the exploit is that there won’t be any flametongue weapon damage, because both weapons have windfury-that’s the gain of the exploit, having twice as much damage from doomwinds as they’re supposed to via a second windfury imbue.

I got globaled by an enhance shaman a few weeks ago. I counted about 12 windfury procs over about 4 seconds. A few flametongue was mixed in. Not sure if RNG or exploit.

atm when you apply windfury it auto applies to your main hand
and when you apply flame tongue it auto applies to your offhand

the exploit is a macro that you can use that’ll bug the game into applying windfury to your main hand AND your offhand which isn’t normally do able

this like doubles your windfury damage

this is doomwinds

this confirms it was not an exploit

the way doomwinds works, every melee/stormstrike/crashlightning/sunder proc up to 3 windfury hits per hit

having 12 windfury hits off a SS/melee/x isn’t unusual
you can easily get like 30+ windfury hits in the 12 second window

having any flametongues at all confirms that it was NOT an exploit and working as intended

Thanks for the information I’m not used to fighting enhancement just yet.

The bug is definitely back/was never fixed. I got globaled twice by enh shamans in arenas yesterday from 90%, no flametongue.

Except if the enh shaman just doesn’t apply flametongue then there will be no dmg from flametongue

I wish I SS’d the details log. I died in .5 seconds from 90% hp. It’d be nice to analyze here.

it was fixed and then apparently reverted, whatever fix just didn’t make it to the next patch

tested it with my guildie enh in a few war games yesterday, he’s 100% sure it’s in the game

Nice, now I can play an actual enhance shaman again.

WF/FL could just be passively built in rather than being weapon buffs that have to be applied every hour since there is no variety/optionality like there was in the past with these buffs.

Instead we have this bugged mess where some folks can find ways to double WF while other folks probably don’t realize that the buffs also go inactive (but still show as applied) every rated match unless you reapply them causing you to lose 25-30% of your DPS, a chunk of your MSW generation, a central component of your burst, and the power of your legendary if you forget/don’t know.

Game breaking bugs in both directions persisting two months post-launch for the sake of a pointless self-buff maintenance mechanic.

Just make them passive and end this chaos.
