There has been zero mention of the one bag system extending to the bank. If it doesn’t, then I will continue to use Litebag. Also if they do not allow me to replace the icon shape, then I will continue to use Dominos.
I haven’t installed a UI mod yet and I’ve been trying not to. I should though. The default UI is not the greatest.
If it’s better in DF I’ll keep with it. If not, then no. I intend on raiding and whatnot this time around and the default UI is not strong enough for all that.
Can’t wait to remove ElvUI. Over the years more and more I come to dislike even ElvUI and don’t really feel it gave that great of an advantage it was more of a fad that someone just said at some point to be a good at the game you had to have it.
Now that the new UI basically does almost everything extra that ElvUI did anyways. I can’t see keeping it at all.
Up in the air but right now leaning to keeping because it lets me use the unused bars that the extra druid forms use… on my warrior. I’ve gotten accustomed to having extra bars for nicknacks like my yack, toys, food, varius other things I want to have handy but are fine to click.
If they bring in functions like snapping to bar / snapping to grid, then I see no reason to keep dominos other than for the fact that I like Masque to spruce up the UI a bit. That’d be the only reason. But I’m willing to forgo that if they bring in snap functionality.
I will absolutely be keeping my other addons and weakauras though.
Yeah you misinterpreted this. I want separation of non-combat buffs/debuffs from combat buffs/debuffs. So four bars total. Because I don’t want to see garbage during a fight. Not sure how to reword my original statement since I think it’s pretty clear what I want as I specifically said combat in the line.
The bag system is really good. It’s a very small icon in the bottom right too. Looks like 34-slot general bags and 36-slot reagent bags. They say you can stack groups of 1k reagents and 200 consumables. Greys have an icon on them too so you can vendor easily. Huge QoL upgrade. Not sure if a bag add on will be needed. I maxed out skinning, leather working, and cooking with no bag space issues.
I’ll be dropping MoveAnything for sure, but other stuff is going to depend on how much functionality the new UI options have.
The main thing I don’t expect to be able to drop is an addon called Button Forge, I use it to create additional custom action bars that I have programmed to only appear during combat. I have them positioned in the center of the screen on either side of my character to create a pseudo-HUD for tracking cooldowns and procs without taking my eyes away from the action, that alone will probably be doable with the new UI but I don’t want them there when I’m not in combat so I need that extra bit of functionality to auto-hide them.
I use LOTS of addons, including a heavily customized ElvUI setup. I would drop ElvUI in an instant if the new UI features snap-to and shared profiles.
Will still leverage WA for my HUD, as that is invaluable for overall ability and cooldown tracking. For me, action bars are used for out of combat specials, food, etc… All of my core combat abilities are keybound and only display through WA.
Do you know if it also works on the bank? Cause if it doesn’t, then it’s useless to me.
As for junk, I have an addon that automatically takes care of that plus repairs plus custom filters for farming old gear etc. It will even automatically destroy items I specify that can’t be vendored which is a godsend.
I didn’t misinterpret. I’m agreeing with you, hence my comment that it is a bummer we can’t clone these UI elements and filter them, IE filter one for combat buffs and one for non-combat buffs.
Then the UI is a failure right out of the gate. They should have just left it well enough alone and changed their policies about not allowing custom UI’s at events.
I should probably add they need to stop reordering buffs randomly. Buffs should be ordered from Longest to shortest especially in combat so your eye can go back to the same place or near enough every time.
