I was reading on internet how the Grand Marshal/Warlord was one of the most toughest challenge in vanilla wow which required extreme dedication and patience.
I also watched one of Swifty’s video where he shares his experience on the grind it took to achieve it.
I myself will be focusing on PVE aspect of classic wow, never been a PVP type player but occasionally will delve into BGS and world pvp.
Just out curiosity does anyone planning to set the goal of becoming the Grand Marshal/Warlord when classic wow releases ? If yes, how do you plan to do it ?

I’ll be doing PvP, but I’m not planning on doing the rank 14 grind.
I’ve got plenty of time on my hands but that one might be out of my reach. Especially if Blizzard doesn’t crack down on account sharing in Classic.

You basically have to have no life for one thing. BG for 16 hours plus a day, be part of a hardcore premade, win all your games. And hope nobody doesn’t s**** y** over if you’re on the list.
So hell no…

yeah ill be that gnome rogue that will be in your cities if you’re going horde. and bg’s.
I wouldn’t mind getting up to rank 10/11 again but there’s no way I’m going past that. I don’t know if I’ll have the time to get that far.
Y’know there’s a famous grind called th’ Winterspring Mount one. That’s one hell of a grind. Scares th’ life outta me.
Then there’s this grind. . . An I be sure it scares th’ life out o’ Winterspring.

Even Chuck Norris fears this grind…

I may make an attempt at rank 13. I probably won’t make it. Maybe I can at least get rank 12.
To rank beyond 10 in PvP you’ll definitely want a good PvP group that you farm BGs with daily. Getting to rank 12 can take 3+ hours a night even if you have a super efficient group. Rank 13 can be 6+ hours and rank 14 12+ hours. Miss a day of grinding before you hit your desired rank and you can forget it. You’ll have to catch up the following week.
Maybe when I hit rank 11/12 I could start “working from home” a few days out of the week.
Definitely not. I had a lot more time for WoW back in the day and I still didn’t have the time for that.
I’m going to try for it for sure.
For those of you who are truly going to do it… I just want to say…
I love you.

One of my best friends did it back in the day. He was getting 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night then working 8 hour days. Couldn’t hang out until he got rank 14.
Seemed completely miserable. Also seemed like the rank didn’t convey skill, just grind.
Cool gear, though.
