I understand 1-60 will be much easier now that Cataclysm has revamped the old world, but leveling through Outlands is abysmal, and we now have to get through Northrend as well.
Can we get this buff to help us get to 80?
It isnât just 1-60 that is easier now. Outland and Northrend are also much simpler. Between the extreme reduction in experience needed to level, all the elite quest mobs becoming normal, and the extra heirlooms you can get off the guild vendor, it should go *much* faster compared to before.

Leveling in northrend is ⊠insanely easy⊠I just leveled my Deathknight from 70 to 74 in about 5 dungeons. No quests between the ques either which btw for a dps have only been around 2 minutes. It doesnât NEED to go any faster. Should try it before complaining about it. Most of these levels got nerfed by nearly 60%

70-74 in FIVE dungeons is nuts. Iâm perfectly game for this exp rate, although iâm not going to gatekeepâŠJust saying, i didnât expect it to be this good at the moment.

cata already has increased leveling speeds, but they did mention faster outland and northrend at one point during their cata thing as blizzcon so it might return
Why lie about this?
One dungeon gets you around 30-40% max.
I just leveled 72-80.
4 dungeons wouldnât even get you 2 levels.

Def not lying but cool, you do you boo. Theres a lot that goes into the xp calculations. Did you have the quests inside the dungeon, are you full boas, were you rested? Did your group do the normal thing of skipping every last mob cuz reasons. Just because your instances were not optimized, doesnât mean mine werenât.

My guess is itâll go up with Rise of the Zandalari, fitting in with the patchâs whole point of âcatch-upâ, go away with Firelands, and then return for the remainder of the expansion after a few weeks of Dragon Soul
It is already faster now, you donât need it any faster.
But you a boost if you need that insta-dopamine hit.

Yeah itâs definitely much faster.
I went from 70-76 in about 2 hours today before work just doing Coldara in Borean and what ever dungeons popped from RDF.
Getting new dungeons you havenât done the quests for is a big plus too.
I probably did 58-68 in like 3-4 hours as well.
1-58 was definitely the slowest and itâs been quick gains from there.

I donât rush level so I donât know but xp is affected by a few things. He could have had max rested xp and was wearing full heirlooms. That could make a big difference in xp gains.

I love the assumptions here. I also think the passive aggression some of you people are displaying is disgusting. Iâm not asking for something that hasnât been given before. Iâm not being entitled. I simply asked a question.
I didnât play WOTLK for various reasons so I havenât had â2 yearsâ as your offensive statement implies. Iâm returning now with my best friend because I want to experience Cataclysm end game content and didnât want to spend an inordinate amount of time leveling up.
I am pleasantly surprised to hear that Cataclysm has squished the requirements and the main chunk of leveling that I was afraid of (that being Outlands 60-70) is now perhaps easier than ever before. This is excellent news.
I donât have Heirlooms, but from the things some of you have said (which have been very helpful) it sounds like I donât have anything to worry about and the experience buff wont be necessary.
The rest of you who did nothing but come here to insult and belittle me, or troll the forums, deserve to have your posting rights removed to teach you how to better interact with your fellow players, because none of you are better or more worthy than me and I didnât deserve the treatment you so casually displayed.
To the rest of you who were helpful and informative, thank you for taking the time to post.

Wasnât exaggerating. I stated my personal experience. I did have rested and full boas. I never said EVERYONE will get 4 levels in 5 runs. I even went as far as telling him he should try it. Since hes the one over-exaggerating how difficult and tedious it is now with the added levels. So again, what?

If he was rested with full heirlooms like he stated it would.
You might have had wildly different character levels.
If you have a 79 in Utgarde keep for example, XP gets slashed by 90%, god forbid you have 2 of them.
They didnât setup the levels for WotLK dungeon on the RDF properly.
