Will we ever get a long coat like Genn and Nathanos?

The Gilnean heritage armor is close in that we have the part of the armor that wraps around our shoulder and back, which is awesome! But we didn’t get a long coat with it…

Why? Is it that hard for Blizzard to have just taken the armor models from Genn or Nathanos , make some changes to it and adjust it to fit the other races? At least give one to Worgen since Genn doesn’t have his long coat in Worgen form, so I’d personally be fine with it disappearing for players as well, but in human form why can’t we have one since we share the same model as Genn?

The castle nathria leather set. It’s not as long, but it’s a start.

That is just the Gilnean set without the part that wraps around the shoulders, and the leg part is longer, so yes it is a long coat, but not like Genn’s or Nathanos. I meant why can’t we get a long coat that flows in the back the way their coats do? Clipping really can’t be used as an excuse when 90% of the game clips lol.

If some devs go alliance, maybe.

The issue kinda comes from the model of the Worgen, if you look, the coat actually disappears when Genn is in his Worgen form

I mentioned that in my original post. I know it disappears and I would be fine with it disappearing and looking the way the current heritage armor looks, but in Human Form we have the long coat like Genn.

It might be less of a clipping issue and more of an animation issue. I’m assuming that they struggle with keeping the lower half of the coat from deforming horribly or otherwise breaking off from the upper half.

Both the Worgen heritage set and the Castle Nathria leather sets have the coat split between chest and legs. It doesn’t look like they are confident with giving us proper long coats at this time and are resorting to workarounds like splitting the coat between two slots.

Worgen heritage armor should have been this.

The current set we have is incredibly boring compared to the gilnean theme oozing with potential.

Nobody will change my mind on this.

But again, when Genn goes into worgen form his coat disappears so I would be fine with the player having the same happen, but why can’t we have one like his in human form? We use the same model as him.

Agreed.

Also, it makes me worry about the Forsaken Heritage armor. I fear it will be something bad and the story will be about how your curse of undeath doesn’t define you, it is your heritage as a citizen of Lordaeron. (to mirror what the Gilneans got)

I second this

worgen monks and tails too please

No. And do not turn this into a tail thread. Please. Worgen don’t have tails.

Don’t Kul Tiran heritage armor have long coat?

Yes, but it is not like how Genn and Nathanos have. Look at the pics I posted, the KulTirans coat is like a regular coat.

I’ve been waiting 16 years for blizzard to release the long version of the Stormwind cloak. Npc’s have it so it’s in game. Cant remember which npc’s, might have been lich king xpac.

I would not mind more focus on them being related to Lordaeron.

But I’m not hopeful either way.

They genuinely have no clue what they want to do with Forsaken.

And honestly I’m just over it…turn every race in wow into different variations of helicopters for all i care

A long coat transmog would make a lot of players happy, so it’ll probably never happen or it’ll end up on the cash shop.

And I would pay for that if I can have a flowing long coat like Genn LOL

My character needs a black trench coat, army boots and sun glasses.

If they add a long coat it will go on the new transmog shop tab for $25. Players aren’t allowed earning items in game unless they’re a pasted on texture reusing the same model as 500 other armor pieces with one 3d piece.
