Depends on if making those zones flyable comes with merging them into their respective continents. As you’ve noted Azuremyst/Bloodmyst don’t pose much of an issue, but Ghostlands is physically incompatible with the zones it borders which means either the EK map or the Ghostlands would need non-trivial reworking done to make a merge work.

I guess they could fix Silvermoon alone and pop up invisible walls on the southern end of the map, but that’s kinda halfassed.

But kinda halfassed is what they do best!
It really is baffling that they didn’t just design them with flying in mind in the first place, given that that’s what they were doing for all the rest of Outland. Or redo them with Cataclysm when they were redoing everything else.

But invisible walls at the edge of a zone can’t be any more annoying than invisible walls in the middle of a zone.

Because I happen to be in the group who likes old org. The new graphics don’t do it for me. Silvermoon is perfect to me as is and feels like the only uncorrupted area in the game along with Outlands, Northrend, and a couple Cata areas.

I like old Orgrimmar, too. But that was completely revamped for story purposes. So that’s entirely different.

I love new Stormwind. The details in the stonework are great. I want to see that detail in Silvermoon. No one asked for the city to be revamped like Org. Just built in 3D to enjoy the beauty and destruction from the sky.

It inevitably will be upgraded, like Warsong Gulch or Arathi Basin. As you mention yourself, Stormwind was.

Like I said, I don’t really care how you mess up retail with TBC on the horizon, but in terms of the city itself, like I said, it feels uncorrupted. New does not mean better. Flying is not somehow better than no flying. The fact you can’t fly there makes it feel like an antique, and the graphics feel real and original

And the detailed upgrades you’re asking for are exactly what I’m against.

New doesn’t mean better. You have hundreds of places to hang out that are new and detailed. You really don’t need Silvermoon too.

Stairway to Heaven upgraded to 2020 with new artificial detail doesn’t mean it’s better. And, contrary to the intended marketing purposes, even simple “remastering” does not mean better either.

You might like the idea and want it. I don’t expect you to come around to my way of thinking. But please accept there are many of us who don’t want it, even though you personally don’t take issue with it. And please accept that we aren’t going to come around to your way of thinking, either.

For use roleplayers, it’s a great city. Some of us would love to have more of it to explore and see more of the tower rooms, etc. I don’t think it needs revamped, just made whole.

This is because Eversong+Ghostlands aren’t on the same map as Eastern Kingdoms, but instead is a chunk of land on the Outland map floating out just beyond maximum view distance to the east of Hellfire Peninsula (if you turn your camera just right while standing on the edge of HFP, you can see its outline).

So what you are saying is that Silvermoon is actually Deathwings hidden clutch, and where Sinestra hung out during BC. Because based on old maps of Draenor from WC2 times that is exactly where Deathwing fled to for a while before Draenor exploded - a landmass directly across the water from HFP
