You could originally there hasn’t been any mention of it I know on the Beta right now you still have to buy it with arena points so who knows
Blizzard didn’t say anything. But you should be able to. I know you could back in Live for easy 70 gear.

S3 should be honor
S4 should be 60% reduced Arena pt cost (1530? for weapons, 750 for armor etc etc)
TBC s3/s4 was not reduced, as s1/s2 were, when the original WotLK prepatch dropped. So it is safe to assume they will not change it this time. It stayed the current price throughout the entirety of WotLK. That is, until cata dropped and revamped/removed a lot of the prior pvp rewards.

But you can’t get arena points tho right? Or am I missing something?
Aren’t all arena points converted to honor and then there isn’t an arena season so no way to get arena points?
so what you have to do is rack up enough arena pts to buy your items to lvl with, you should have a 2 week period were arena is “down” to calculate titles BUT you still have your pts to buy items.
and you buy your items in that time window.
I mean I remember you could buy season 3N season 4 with honor because to my remembrance you can’t get arena points during the prepatch because they reset.
So yeah They absolutely should be I mean I don’t know if anyone’s been on the Beta but you’re not really able to gain honor on the Beta at this point let alone there’s actually no armor or weapons available for honor anyway but yeah.

unfortunately not that Ive seen of. Been trying to read everything and everywhere possible.
Not a single piece of communication out there. Doesn’t help that both the beta and PTR are way off too.

Zarhym explains that there are [no plans to make Season 3 gear available through the Honor system] because there will no longer be any new rewards for Arenas at Level 70. Since all Honor gear available through vendors are two seasons old, all current Level 70 rewards will remain as they are. In another post, Wryxian explained that the personal ratings requirements for Brutal Gladiator gear [will also stay in place] pointing out that the gear will last well through the Northrend leveling experience. To that end, Blizzard intends for the gear to be “somewhat limited in availability.”

God I hope so. As someone who plans to start fresh, my goal is to get to 70 in prepatch then jump into fun BGs to gain honor for season 3/4 gear. How amazing would that be?

This is what I’m hoping for as well. Not only would that be fun during pre-patch, the gear would probably last until the high 70s when leveling for WotLK.

This is good info, however if we’ve learned anything its that what is happening in 2022 =/= what was done in its original state.
Im okay with w.e they choose, just want to know the decision is all.

Exactly, I just want to know one way or the other. If they come out and say no, then I can stop trying to cap honor and just focus on leveling alts until WotLK starts.
Yep same. I’m just snagging towers and doing the daily BG and I’ll scoop up s2 weapons.
I’m fine with that but don’t wanna burn this honor for if I can wait a few weeks and get s3 or even s4

Season 1 gear is pretty inexpensive for what you get.
Season 2 is much more honor for a minimal stat increase, but easy to get if you like to pvp.
For sure, with both sets of tower dailies and the daily BG you can get the weapons in like a week. Its solid
