I saw that they are buffing feral druids. I mean, they really need it, amirite?
Demos doing pretty decent in m+ and raiding, could use some bug fixes however.
I agree! The payoff for the work we put in is sad. I compared it one time to a donut shop. Warlocks go in and pay 10 dollars for their favorite donut(DPS) while other classes pay 50 cents for the same thing but they also get sprinkles. We’re all after the same thing, great DPS, but locks have to work 50x harder for similar or subpar results

Affliction is #5 dps for M+ and Mythic Nathria according to the warcraft logs default settings. Demo is #6 for Nathria. Relatively speaking I’d say warlock is in a great place.

its very viable once you get pvp gear (if we are talking about pvp)! In pve its pretty good but i dont feel like this should even be part of the discussion cause locks havent really had many issues in pve
The answer is NO. Unless its destro then it wont be buffed. Destro is one of the easiest classes to counter in the game, i guess this is blizzards way of pacifying the warlocks, hey chaos bolt was buffed for the 13th time but now you got no root, it takes longer to cast and everyone heals like crazy in this xpac. So if you get hit by a chaos bolt your a moron LOL

this is spot on. in order to be viable we have to meet several conditions and setup everything perfectly. Forget about making a single mistake, or missing a juke or interrupt. You can literally play perfect and still lose to zug zug keyboard smasher melee that for some reason have INSTANT abilities doing over 30k in one shot.
Damn im happy just getting my gateway up before some BS ability allows the other team to hop across the map before i start casting

i disagree 1000% my sub rogue was 1 shotting people since the start of this xpac with crap gear as well as my fire mage. My alts still have 207pieces from season 1 and are still extremely viable. In fact my lvl 53MM hunter was winning duels against level 60 players well into shadowlands.
aff only became slightly better once we got versatility and large amounts of haste (in pvp)

I agree that destro needs a slight buff specially in PVP, but I don’t see how anyone would play Affliction in PVP. Even if you go deathbolt and manage to apply ALL DOTs AND don’t get darksoul stolen… then it’s 3 shards and pray it crits. I honestly don’t see how is that viable at all. Not even useful in BGs anymore.

Lower level open world pvp is overtuned for the underleveled character against max lv people, just so you know.
Sub was broken at the start of the expansion as well as rogues always thrive agaisnt low geared players.
Then youre playing braindead players

I am going to say something that you and others might find controversial but what I say is obviously all geared toward PvP.
The class is in a spot where outside of easy r1 “Lack of spots… not a S-tier class etc etc”… the only thing that will stop you in PvP from attaining the rating you desire… is you and the team/comps you play.
Affliction can get high rated
Demo can get high rated
Destro can get high rated
Obviously they are not as strong as some classes/specs but the class is “Competent”.
Before I stopped really playing this season after I got my welfare glad done with I was top 300-500 pvpers for most of the season… and I am a old man with old man reactions and I make a ton of mistakes etc etc etc.
Point is… the only thing that will stop you from getting rating this season or welfare gladiator is you.
