I was thinking of taking the Tuesday off to play Wotlk Classic, but I don’t think I will if there’s going to be maintenance on the day after release.
Has this been planned yet? Or are they skipping Classic maintenance on the 27th?

I would expect a restart at the very minimum.
I think the patch and reset day is changed the the 26th, the release will be after the update
Ahh this would make sense. Hopefully more will concur with this.
i wouldnt be surprised if blizzard did another reset to fix the 5 million bugs that will inevitably occur.

There’s no patch on the 26th, it’s already in.
Though they may have to do something mon morning and tues morning maintenance wise. But as for the expansion launching, it’s just a switch to flip now.
i wonder if they all flip the switch together or if its just one guy

Ya this is what I’m afraid of, waste of a day off if I’m not playing for 8 hours 
Well, they’ve generally only done an hour or two after a launch if needed, i haven’t seen the post launch day go down for 8 hours in years.
It’s usually when we get a nap in.

Launch is on the 26th, you can look up when it launches in your time zone to see exactly.
There doesnt appear to be any planned downtime on the 27th. However, this does not mean downtime wont happen. Completely possible for servers to go down/issues to happen that require maintenance.
